Gamertag lost by MICROSOFT

Ok, so I had a gamertag of mine from the Xbox V1 and microsoft misinformed me about what would happen if I did not import it to 360 in 2004. In 2005 I lost the account due to not importing onto 360 so I deleted the old email as there was no use for it anymore. I can not remake the email due to regional differences as the Japan emails do not work in the US but I have verified everything for Xbox support and was promised my account back. I keep all SRNumbers and emails are all printed out as well so I can send them to Microsoft when needed. So I got approved to get my account back but Microsoft decides to put a severe red flag on my account because I called in soo many times to try to get my issure resolved and has put me in a loop. I contact support.microsoft.com like i am refered to on the phone, then I am told to contact Xbox phone support so I do at 1-800-469-9269. I explain the issue and then get referred back to support.microsoft.com. I need to know if anyone else has had this problem in the past or how to fix it, all I want is my gamertag back.

I’m having almost the same problem right now.

I have a V1 Xbox that I used once or twice to get on Xbox Live and then didn’t use it for years. The email account signed up with still exists though but I can’t access the account because I haven’t used it in years. I’ve tried the recovery options but can’t remember any details (like I said it’s been years since I used it).

I contacted Xbox Live support first who, granted, tried to help me at first but then refereed me to support.microsoft.com. Now they are telling me to either use the automated reset options (which I can’t because the details are all lost to time) or contact Xbox support.

I just want my gamertag, it’s all I want out of this process.

I’m starting to think no one actually works on these support forums and they are just run by robots providing an automated response.
