Just wanted to bring this up with the community that the gamertag [CLASSIFIED] has on multiple occasions spent his time ruining my gaming experience by betraying me and my teammates. Absolutely no regard for his teammates and spends his time trolling and trashing others gaming experiences. Honestly this is my biggest peeve of this community and i wish there was steeper consequences for these sorts of actions like maybe uploading the game to x box lives support staff and getting a resolution immediately maybe there is and i just dont know. Does anybody know what could truly be done?

If you have trouble with a player, make sure to file a report against their gamertag and let the XBL staff look into it. Calling out users isn’t allowed on the forums, so it’s best to edit your thread/title and remove the GT you posted about

Edit the name out of your post and generalize your statement, unless you do that this type of post is not allowed.

I have checked the rules of the forum a few times and have not found any such rule that bans me from stating a comment of truth regarding a player online. I have not used profanity, or any threatening tones, but if i am mistaken please post the rule i am missing.

I know right? That is my point but too often ppl seem to think its OK to ruin
the gaming experience and laugh at the idea of being reported.Worst case scenario they may loose reputation points.

Don’t commit personal attacks or post abusively towards others. (Halo Waypoint Forum Rules)

Please refrain from discussing personal matters, verbally abusing any company, product or individual, or from posting content which may be deemed inappropriate or irrelevant for a Halo community. (Halo Waypoint Forum Guidelines)

Does not specifically naming someone else constitute a personal attack? You say it is truth, but none of us know that. Your options are to use the tools Xbox Live provides you but reporting the player in question and moving on. It does not matter if you think it is effective or not, that is how the system works and breaking the rules you agreed to do not do anything helpful.

I did not mention personal matters, did not attack a personally, verbally abuse anybody, no rule which you stated did i break. I did not give a personal attack or abuse anybody in any fashion, i just mentioned a warning to others regarding a player’s behavior in a game. I still am not convinced until 343 notifies me of which rule i broke i still have the right to free speech as long as i do not threaten someone personally.

You can continue to choose not to read the rules, or blithely interpret them to justify your original post, but when I was able to report your OP for “calling out” (ie. making a thread about any user, regardless of the circumstances that is NOT appropriate behavior) you have no leg to stand on. Modify your OP and refrain from similar behavior in future. XBL DOES have built in tools for reporting bad behavior and Microsoft DOES have an official enforcement team that DOES seem quite active (often reviewing complaints within 24 hours or so, though that can vary based on your previous report accuracy). Source: Major Nelson Radio (official Xbox podcast, they had the enforcement team lead as a regular guest to explain just what the hell he does), and the Book of Enforcement (cue the monks.).

And mark that, I provided a citation to justify the use of the report function. What do you have to say that it doesn’t work? What yah reckon?

Also, you do not have the right to free speech given that this is 1. a private forum and 2. you’re engaged in what might easily be interpreted as slanderous behavior. On no grounds is this thread justifiable. Take steps to close it yourself, so you can at least emerge from this situation with the appearance of having learned something.

I will close this as soon as 343 tells me to, in the mean time if you are offended by my topic feel free to take your political correctness out of my thread.

No need, I’ll close it for you. Definitely not allowed.
