Gamer tag banned??

Yesterday I was taken from a matchmaking loading screen to my xbox dashboard, and ever since then I have gotten a banned message when I try to join a game. This happens every few months… what’s the deal?

Also - already spoke with xbox live and I have no issues on their end.

  • Do you have this problem just with the MCC?
  • Some people have reported that they keep getting banned without doing anything. If this is the case then it is most peculiar.
  • However some people might have quit out of a game, then months later that ban caught up to them.

Thanks for your reply! I’m not sure the difference between the games… it came with my xbox one purchase. I don’t think I have any of the other versions besides MCC. Good to know other people have had this issue and it’s not just me. I have a terrible internet package through my HOA that kicks me out of games occasionally that I originally thought to be the issue, but I haven’t been able to join matchmaking since yesterday. Every time I get the banned message, it tells me a new time limit even though I haven’t joined a match in over 24 hours. Very frustrating, but I appreciate your help!
