Gameplay-wise, what should return?

We talk a lot about what should not return (loadouts and ordnance, for example), but what should return? Be it from Halo 4 or previous games. Specific to gameplay (not the ranking system, we already all know about that).

Probably the first thing on my list is Flag Juggling. Gave you options when running the flag. Make it a 2 handed carry as well (no magnum).

So, as an actual list:
-Flag Juggling
-Throw the Oddball
-Dual Wielding
-Some weapons (Missile Pod, Flamethrower, Brute Shot,…)
-Good Action Sack gametypes (Zeus, Sumo, etc)
-Human Aircraft
-Descope
-Grenades that flip vehicles
-Equipment**
-Power-ups**
-Weapons on map**

**I would remove loadouts if I can and bring these back in their place. I wanted to avoid discussing this stuff though, I know there’s already about 100000 threads for each topic already.

So what is it you guys most want to return to gameplay?

  • Revised Personal Loadouts (along with playlists without them at launch)- Revised Personal Ordnance (along with playlists without them at launch)- Dual-wielding (along with DW weapons such as the SMG)- Descope- Brute arsenal, including vehicles (hoping they make a return in some way)- Revised Armor Abilities and Equipment (placed on map with limited usage)- Falcon or Hornet (or both)- Dual Playlist layout (Ranked and Social, but not further splintered into “Traditional/Classic” and “Infinity”)- Innovations to gametypes (throwing Oddball, Flagnum CTF, etc.) implemented in variants of them- Elites in multiplayer (too technical to go into details of balance here)- Return and Expansion of gametypes like Invasion and Dominion- Return of more diverse Support Weapons (Missile Pod, Flamethrower)- Covenant Locust?

General mechanics:
-Dual Wielding AA/Power-up
-descope in MP, flinch in CMP
-descope for CMP snipers
-grenade count of 4 in CMP
-equipment actually having an effect on AI (Flare and Radar Jammer did nothing compared to Hologram)
-faster Carbine reload animation
-faster movement acceleration for Master Chief
-higher jump height for Master Chief
-less shield recharge waiting time for Master Chief
-faster melee for Master Chief (started with Halo 4)
-all weapons viable in CMP (started with Halo CE, abandoned afterward, resurrected with Halo 4, great job 343i)
-grenade pile chain reactions/detonating dropped grenades with explosives (like in Halo 1/Halo 2. Ever since Halo 3… explosions will either fail to detonate or will launch the dropped grenades in random trajectories)
-CE Needler carbon copy in CMP
-H3/ODST Gravity Hammer carbon copy in CMP
-Rocket Launcher homing function from either Halo 2 or Reach in CMP
-reduced sniper recoil in CMP

Vehicle mechanics:
-faster entering/exiting for all Spartans (ever since Halo 3, it takes an eternity to enter/exit a vehicle)
-Banshee hover in CMP
-Banshee fuel rod homing in CMP for players and AI
-Reach-style Banshee evasion tricks in CMP
-maneuverable, non-cumbersome Human aircraft (Hornet and Falcon are inadequate Banshee counterparts while Sabre and Broadsword aren’t exactly made with normal airspace in mind)
-grenades that flip vehicles
-vehicles that are not easily flipped when driving over rocks
-vehicles being able to get launched really high after you’ve climbed into them (ever since Halo 3… if you setup a dozen explosives near a Hog, blow them up while getting inside, your weight will stop the Hog in it’s tracks)
