Gameplay needs to be the same

i think we all agree with this point

343 should keep the main gameplay, halo 4 should not just FEEL like halo it also should PLAY like halo, especially cause its a sequel

and with halo i mean halo 1-3,more 2 and 3(we all had the best halo multiplayer experience)

some new good additions and thats it

343 shouldnt name it halo if the gameplay isnt equal to h2/h3,they should make another game series then

im not worried about the campaign but about the multiplayer and the gameplay

and i hope 343 realizes that.Halo should, like its story, evolve. No matter how far the story evolves, however, it should still be based on its past.and it should be exactly like this with halo 4 and the gameplay.campaign like multiplayer. even though its a new trilogy

take halo 2 and halo 3 and bulit up on them, add things(not too much like reach),improve things like the halo 3 connection, and make it the best possible halo

> i think we all agree with this point

No, we really can’t (there forums are proof enough).

I want a Halo feel but also a new experience, like the difference between Halo 1 and 2.

It frustrates me that everyone uses “need” for their topics.

I want gameplay to stay the same” would be a more appropriate title.

and apparently also threads need to be the same because this topic has been posted A MILLION TIMES!

thats what i actually said,old gameplay,new experience

What a surprise, Stein Steve thinks the game should be just like Halo3

ok,sorry

Why call it Halo 4 when it could be called Halo 2 & 3? :L

The series is in good hands, without natural progression of gameplay elements and innovation to the core design, there would be no point in making another trilogy.

mh i guess you cant read, but thats not my problem

You should change the title to something other than “need”.
We don’t all agree.

And, no, I think it should be Halo 4 gameplay with a 77% to be Halo 2.

That’s not what I said. I said I want something that’s familiar but new, like Halo 1 to Halo 2. Halo 2 changed a lot of the core mechanics and added a lot to what would be recognized as Halo. Dual wielding, vehicle jacking, movements and jump height, melee stength, Halo 2 changed a lot of what it meant to be Halo. That’s what I want to see for Halo 4.

this shows the opposite

me too, thats what i said, built up on h3 to make it better, add some things, like bungie did with halo 1 → halo 2 and you could still recognize halo 2 as a halo

the things you mentioned, things like this from h3 to h4 would be perfect,im just wondering what changes 343 did

I agree with the OP. But here’s my stance:

Halo 4 should FEEL like the previous Halos but different. It cannot have any new gameplay elements that change the complete FEEL of the Halo series but innovation is a must.

An example of where this philosophy was not followed was the one and only Reach.

I guess. I may have jumped to conclusions, but it sounded like, in the OP, that you wanted something close to Halo 3 as opposed to a new experience.

no not opposed to a new experience, halo 3 WITH a new experience, some new really good things which make the game better, but it shouldnt be too far away like reach

Reach was actually closer to Halo 1’s experience than Halo 2. Take away AAs, and it’s basically Halo 1 with more weapons.
