Will 343 release the Halo Infinite demo for the community to and if not when will we be getting a flight
I cant see it happening, usually a multiplayer beta would be available but we have not had one for infinite which scares me because thats what made H4 multiplayer trash on its launch
They said that Flighting is a possibility later on but they’re unsure when or what they will be flighting. They also said this is a game they wanted to build with the community, but I think what they meant by that is that they made decisions with this game based off of the feedback from halo 5.
Flighting was briefly discussed in the Campaign Evoloved blog post, my impression is that it was planned but the global pandemic has gotten in the way of that. I don’t think there really is going to be any opportunity to get hands-on before launch. I think this is a fair enough sacrifice due to, you know, the global pandemic.

They did flighting for halo the master chief collection during the pandemic, why wouldn’t they be able to do it for this?

Genuinely from what has been rumored around the working conditions around 343 and the extreme crunch they are in, I think we will be lucky if we get a full game at launch, let alone beta tests or flights. It can probably and will probably be compared to Halo 2s time crunch at the end of the day and I believe with them saying they will “improve the game over a 10 year period” only strengthens the argument that it will not launch a full game and that it will be live service like fallout 76 and destiny like so many other “pay now / content later” titles seem to do.

Did they say they had a 10 year plan?! Oh god that’s a terrible sign… where did they say that?

Flighting for MCC is primarily finding bugs in already released games using a flighting system which already existed last year for Halo: Reach. They did not need to worry about data-miners, leaks or servers because all the games have already released.
Creating a specific ‘demo’ for flighting means the devs have to pretty much create a version of the game which hides all plot details and is unleakable. They have to establish cross-platform servers while minimizing human contact, they have to flight on 3 platforms (and XCloud) and doing all of this takes time out of just developing the actual game and with a few months til release. It reaches a point where flighting probably finds less bugs than just continuing internal testing.
Also did I mention they have to do this all from home?

I hope they have plenty of internal testers then… No public beta combined with a confirmed 10 year plan is a very grave omen for the quality of the game at launch.

Destiny 1 sends his regards (stated in a interview with IGN)

Don’t quote me on this but it may have been after the reveal of the gameplay demo or on a community post by 343i. Id have to look to cite it but i know it was one of the two.

Yup. Hopefully they have good testing plan and a good variety of testers. No point in testing if everybody only cares about eSports.
