Gameplay Critiquing Thread

I haven’t seen one of these on here, so I figured I’d start one. Use this thread to get critiques and feedback about your gameplay! Whether it’s a bad game and you’re trying to get helpful insight on how to improve, or it’s a great game and you just want to brag, post your videos here! I’ve got a couple good ones to start out with, but they’re nowhere near perfect:

Blacksite FFA
Simplex FFA

Specifically, can anyone offer advice on how to improve my steadiness while shooting? I feel like that’s my biggest problem when I’m in 1v1 battles. I can usually get a decent strafe, but my nerves usually get the best of me and I end up swiping the reticle across the whole screen (and ultimately missing important shots).

I don’t have any critiques (since I could probably use some myself), but I think this is a great idea! I think it could be very useful, and I’ll definitely be posting some of my gameplay pretty soon.

here’s my gameplay then:

That link provided is to a page with ALL of your gameplays. Could you be more specific about which one(s) you’d like feedback on? We can’t watch and critique all of them.

I’m not asking for anything. Just if you’re bored, watch anyone you like.

Noble 29, in your Black Site FFA vid I noticed that you lost track of your ammo counter at 2:02. You managed to clean up but you got lucky.

Beautiful grenade at 3:54, but you didn’t need to throw that second one and it ended up costing you a kill @ 4:02.

Your Railgun skills need work. I am assuming it is because of this:

> my nerves usually get the best of me and I end up swiping the reticle across the whole screen

With the BR this isn’t as big of a deal because you’ll still be able to deal damage. This could cause you to have problems with single shot weapons however.

Perhaps you could try using the DMR in SWAT, or even the Carbine in FFA or 4v4. These are both single shot weapons that rely heavily on steady aim. You should be able to get better over time.

Edit: What sens do you play on? I use 4, and even a slight increase to 5 can have a huge impact on my aim.

Overall, very nice gameplay!

Road to 50 Team Infinity Slayer: Day 3

0:32 I would’ve saved the grenades for when they tried to approach the ramp.

1:03 Ouch. I hate when that happens.

1:40 Would’ve switched to my Carbine and shot him.

2:05 As soon as he left the building I would’ve reloaded. You only had two ammo left, and there was plenty of cover to hide behind. I reload whenever possible.

3:40 Bad idea. What you should have done is bounced the nade at a 45* angle off the railing to your left, so it would land near him. Though since you had damage boost, the nade would’ve been a unnecessary.

4:15 Run. You never want to be in that situation. You were probably thinking “My Teammate will help me with these guys”, but that mentality will get you killed if you’re playing with randoms.

4:40 Nice aiming.

5:05 Lol.

6:36 No sword assassination :C -5stylepoints

> Yes, now that I look back, you’re right. I didn’t even notice that while playing, to be honest.

> I honestly didn’t even think about that wasted grenade. What I was hoping for with that second grenade was that the player would turn the corner and walk right on top of it to give me that kill. It did actually work like that, except it didn’t kill the guy (even though I’m pretty sure his shields were low enough that it should have).

> Yeah, I know about this haha. When I don’t have the red reticle on the Railgun, I can’t aim it for crap.

> Actually, it’s funny because I’m actually pretty good at SWAT, and in that gametype, my skill is pretty even with the BR and DMR. I also have been usin the Carbine more recently (in both FFA and team games) and have been performing surprisingly well (for myself) with it. But using them hasn’t really helped with my stability.

Thank you very much for your feedback/advice! Much appreciated!

EDIT: I think my stability issues can be somewhat attributed to my anticipation of an opponent’s movements. Sometimes I’ll shoot to the left or right of someone because I’ll anticipate that’s where their strafe or jump is about to go. And it was actually pretty well exemplified in that Blacksite gameplay that when I anticipate correctly, it works great, but when I’m wrong it can make me lost a battle. But then again, I guess that’s the whole point of strafing in the first place.
