Ok, so obviously we are all pretty upset over the STILL lacking of gamemodes in Halo 5. To be honest, they are way overdue. But I have an idea for an update that could really make Halo 5 fun again. Have an update of all the gamemodes we are asking for.
Yes, this will sacrafice new maps and reqs, but to be honest, I don’t even care at this point.
This update could implement all of the following gamemodes to Halo 5:
Infection
Race (and rocket race).
Griffball
Oddball
Assault (if thats not in already. Kind of sad that i am assuming its not)
Other gametypes I think could be fun as well:
Headhunter from Halo Reach
VIP from (at least) Halo 3
are there others?
Also with this update, we could be given more options in the customization of these games.
OTHER NOTES:
MATCHMAKING: I also don’t wish to just have this simply available in custom games. I want them in playlist rotations! We NEED Assault in Big Team. That was so fun. As for race, that could be a weekly playlist ordeal, but should defninitely be in matchmaking at some point. It is way too fun.
FORGE: I can’t speak for everyone, but without that many gametypes available, the incentive to forge some fun maps like infection zones and race tracks is greatly lowered. With an update solely of gamemodes, people will want to make some awesome creations suitable for the different ways to play Halo 5!
to conclude, I just wanna say as much as I wish for this to happen, lets be honest, can we really see this becoming a real update? I can’t. They have a bigger and more direct incentive to add reqs because it is a direct way to get more money. Overall, it is very frustrating to feel that our pleas are being ignored. The fact that these gamemodes were not even available at launch is just depressing overall. If they an entire section of social playlists from the start with infection, race, rocket race, and of course those already in the game, I truly feel the game would have seen more success. It is because of this that I just cannot fathom why they were, dare i say it, removed.
Still, one can dream.
