A basic firefight gamemode idea takes place on BTB maps

info: two spartan fire teams are dropped into a simulated mission, with everything from fire support to changing objectives. Can you complete the mission?
Gameplay: players spawn at an FoB that allows them to spend points to bring in weapons, vehicles, and UNSC marines. They must protect this FoB while trying to complete several objectives on the map. The hostiles in this mode can be anything from insurrectionists with sanghelli mercs, to the flood.
Being a simulation it also has some unique traits like the ability to call in wasp support or activate AA guns to stop hostiles banshees from spawning.
The mission always has 2 objectives at the start with a third activating once they are complete. One of the two objectives is almost always collect power seeds for the FoB’s defenses.

If the MP and campaign shared the same gameworld like GTA V and GTAO do this would be an awesome supplement to co-op. As Halo MP is a war games simulator already this would really be a slam dunk especially considering how much of Halo’s MP is based on teamwork already and teamwork with the computer has been becoming a much bigger aspect of Halo’s arena experience since ODST. With the firefight sequences in levels that you had to do with help of AI only to the multi-objective levels later in Halo Reach your idea is the next logical evolution.

Except for one thing Warzone firefight has PvP this doesn’t.
It also is more a kill to win mode, where this one will have different things, like power your base, activate AA guns, rescue marines.
That sort of stuff.

Sorry never played halo 5, so yeah I hear warzone and I think of their BS PvPvE gamemode. just call it firefight.
So you didn’t play it yet called me dumb and still doubled down? Also I’m not going to call it “Just Firefight” because it isn’t just Firefight. FF is wave defence, Warzone FF is PVE objectives with 8 players, REQs and unlimited lives. They’re not the same thing.
From my information, Warzone:firefight was the PvPvE mode that was their at launch, which sucked.
ALso you are still wrong it isn’t warzone firefight, as it works in a different way that is boss based this is objective based.

Also shut the hell up, there are literally objectives in Warzone FF, you’ve never played it, you have no idea what it’s like.

It is Warzone FF with a couple extra bells and whistles though. I’m not out to get you; you are describing Warzone FF with minor changes.
It isn’t warzone firefight, because of one thing, it lacks that dumb card system of halo 5. That alone makes it different.
It replaces it with points, which is the exact same thing because you spent points to use your REQ cards.
