gameinformer update spartan ops

Hey guys, i just thought ill share an update from gameinformer about spartan ops.

More Info on spartan ops

So much hate for the name, though to be honest I had a VERY negative reaction when I heard the name. It had to be explained to me in order for me to come along.

It sounds very interesting. A mini episodic campaign every week. Sigh me up.

The more i hear about this the better it sounds

Does anyone know if this will be completely free? r will i have to pay for each episode?

It’s all free.

My laptop can’t play sound so would someone be kind enough to reiterate what was said in the video? Thanks in advance.

Nothing new in there really.
There are characters you’ll become emotionally attached to, but that’s about it.

Quite frankly, I’m severely disappointed and even appalled by the lack of faith in 343i by so many.

Did everyone just forget that there are still some of the old Bungie crew onboard, most important of all Frankie? The man’s proven himself time & again - they know what we love and what we hate, and will only push the envelope so far each time. Reach was a big gamble as well and it paid off (mostly - I still abhor the campaign for a plethora of reasons but the MP is solid) and I have full confidence that they can make Halo 4 a smash hit.

Ya’ll need to just be patient and have a little more faith in the team - they’re not going to screw with what makes Halo, Halo. It’s not going to be “CoD in Space”, they’re just borrowing some of the more successful aspects of other games in the genre which is basically what a lot of the most successful new IPs have done.

Besides, lest we forget, it was Call of Duty that originally sought to copy/overtake Halo originally - we’re coming around full circle now

Yeah I couldn’t agree with you more Shuurai. but of course a lot of people are just jumping to conclusions without playing the game. I’m pretty sure Frankie is guiding them in the right direction and letting them know from experience what people liked and didnt so much care about. Of course you also have pretty much everyone from 343 testing the game 200+ people and I believe some at Microsoft. Only 28 weeks and 5 days

How can you be disappointed in the lack of faith? 343i has no games under thier belt and is of now an unproven developer. Of course people will doubt them, and you cant have faith in a developer that has not released a game yet! I’m not saying they don’t know what thier doing either, I’m sure they do.

They have been handed a game that has put the Xbox on the map and is the biggest franchise xbox has. I’m sure they are just as worried as the fans are about making it a good game. Also the very few people who are from Bungie don’t make the game all by themselves. They are not bungie and will not make a game like they can. I’m not saying that as a insult but it’s just a fact because they are very different developers, so of course they will be different.

Also the info we have now does sound alot like CoD, there is no denying that. The fans play Halo because it is Halo, not Cod. So it will put people off when they hear things like this. Again we don’t know if they will “screw” with what makes Halo, Halo. Whats makes Halo, Halo is a matter of opinion, and as we all know opinions are like -Yoinks!- everyone has one and who is to say one is better than the other.

I watched it. I am more interested in the screens behind the people talkin then the actual “info” they share. Halo 4 looks gorgeous! And spartan ops, by the name, just makes me think of spec ops so I wish that was different but I’m excited for multiplayer with storyline. That’s why I love halo. One of the last fps with a good storyline.
