My roommate and I both snagged Halo 5. When I play and he’s not home the game plays fine. The same goes for when I’m at work or whatever and he’s murdering jerks. That changes completely when we try to play together or even at the same time.
When we’re both home and try to play, together or in separate matches, the game has lag spikes that last for as long as 40 seconds. It happens constantly too. As soon as one of us closes the game the lag dissipates.
I know not everyone has 2 Xbox One systems in their household, but this has made the game unplayable for both of us. I hope whatever is causing this issue is acknowledged and repaired soon. Otherwise both of us are probably returning the game. I really don’t want to do that though. It plays excellent when I’m by myself. I just want to murder jerks with my roomy and can’t at the moment.
Sounds like an internet problem and not a game problem. My wife and I play together on two xboxes just fine. My brother and two of his roommates can play together without lag spikes. Get better internet or a better modem/router.

i heard issues ONLY with warner. sorry, keep it for a few days and see if it is fixed soon, keep up with info, also, post this in the support threads, helpful people are there
You need to check your setting on your router. Look and see if you have QoS (Quality of Serves) and look at the settings and rules. Also look at IPv6 and UPnP settings. It sounds like a router problem. Last step is call XBOX support, they are really good at fixing problems if its on router or xbox side.
I can attest to this. I have twc and it’s impossible to play at the same time, in the same house. We have played just about EVERY FPS since xbox one came out and this is the only unplayable. Very frustrating. A match consists of watching 7 players run into a wall until you respawn. Broken
Also, I pull down 38, put up 5-6 in my network tests.
So my roomy just texted me. He said he put the router from TWC in bridge mode (I’m not entirely sure what that entails) then hooked another router to it and said he played 5 matches of war zone with bothe our systems going and had not so much as a hiccup.
