Yeah i bought it digitally today, waited all day for it to download.
Game crashes as soon as i open it so i uninstalled and i am re-installing it.

Wouldnt care if it were a 20 gb file but 54? JFC. Too big of a download to have to re install.

This is pathetic game installs fine all 54 gb 9 gb update takes hours then game won’t launch says update failed un installed and reinstalled same thing again started downloading at 11pm is now almost 7 am and can’t even play the game I payed for after failure of halo 4 then all the master chief collection issues now this 343 has ruined the halo experience never again

After the problems with Master Chief Collection, I told myself never again.
Now I preorder this game and it won’t start. What’s the point at preorder if you can’t play on day one.
343 and Halo, I’m over you.
I’ll get this game in 2 years when its onsale for $10.

Im in San Antonio Texas ar 9:14pm and i have work early as f**k. Wanted to play for two hours now this.
Digital copy also. My console also forced an update when i turned it on today. So it signed me out of my Xbox live profile. Thought it was that but now im back on and cant launch the game.
I think I am done with Halo. I was a dedicated fan even after ODST which was the real crap fest that started it all. Reach brought it back a bit but H4 borring gameplay and now this?

Now my xbox 360 just shut off on its own after my last post. That last update was a downdate.

I’m happy I’m not the only one with this issue. I had the disc and installed it, did the update and then went to play and it loads the Microsoft stupid thing and lags and freezes and kicks me to the dashboard. So I returned the game, exchanged it for Microsoft points and got the digital version, the game worked for 25 mins, I almost finished the first mission and it crashed and put me back to the dashboard… And now geuss what, it won’t load past the very start again. ( I have tried uninstalling 8 times … Yah 8), I also uninstalled everything, I did every possible troubleshooting and now And NOONE at 18004myxbox even knows how the xbox works, all those idiots know is how to read their computer… SO I spent all day -Yoinking!- around yesterday and today for nothing, THE GAME IS BROKEN FIX IT 343 STOP RELEASING BROKEN GAMES
Tomorrow I am going to get a refund if it doesn’t work after my last try reinstalling it over night… I’ll trade in every halo game and switch to cod
There’s so many people with this issue. But where is someone with a answer?! Where is 343 ? Someone?
I can’t even get on without the game crashing. Everytime I load it only gets to the Microsoft studios intro then freezes( more times than I can count, or I lost track anyways). But one in 100 It has let me play, twice actually ,the first time I did the first mission and then when it had to load again it glitches and booted me back to the dashboard. The second time I selected the second mission and it went to load and crashed back to the dashboard.
Now I’m back to only starting and running for 3 seconds only to glitch back to the dashboard. Xbox ran every troubleshooting ideas they had on my first disc, second disc, and now digital copy. They determined it’s a consol problem, the most knoladgeable person… The only knoladgeable person was a supervisor, and agreed with my reserch which it may be a RAM issue, where it doesn’t have to processing power to run the game due to a internal error. I only have ever had game freezing when playing GTA 5 and only when way too much is going on. Kinda makes sense… I geuss 
Either way I’m getting a new Xbox sent to me in 3-4 days… Geuss I’m out of luck till then… Sad that that’s the answer to this problem guys, but halo 5 runs the consol right to the max of its capabilities and if your Xbox has any issues this game will expose them.

Sooooo… I got upset with my Xbox and tried the game one more time, now I figured I had nothing to lose so when the game started, (right before it would normally kick out and back to the dashboard), I grabbed the power cord and pulled it out of the wall. I plugged it in, and geuss what. Halo works… So much for trouble shooting. Just should have yanked the power while it was messing up a long time ago. Forget about trouble shooting and waisting many hours of your life on hold with the morons at 18004myxbox(who clearly don’t own xboxes and read from a computer screen,which is displaying service.xbox.com… Which we all can do on our own)… Forget about power cycling by being nice and telling the machine in settings your turning it off, nope just yank the f’er out and it works… Who would have guessed. Now it’s 4 am and I played my tail off in halo. Easy come easy go I suppose. The test will be once the Xbox is off all night. And incase anyone reading is wondering yah, I already turned it off and back on and it still works.
I don’t know if I will ever know wtf happened and why Microsoft couldn’t trouble shoot it… Maybe the universe knew how badly I wanted to play and just poofed a small miracle in my way.

My game was working fine until this morning. I tried to start my game up and now all it does is the same problem everyone else is having. I would like a faster way to figure this problem out. My job doesn’t allow me a lot of time off and now that I have time I’m dealing with this problem. Can some one from 343 please help us out?
Had this issue and just started a different game then went bask to halo and it worked
Just got Halo 5 and it wouldn’t Load from disk. It would stop at 5% of install. I tried several things, but it would do the same thing. Finally, I disconnected the internet and tried the install again, and it loaded. Once it installed, I hooked the Internet back up and installed the update requested. The game is working. Saw many people had the same issue, hope this helps if you bought the disk.
343 you should be -Yoinking!- ashamed of yourselves 14th of April the following year and halo still has the same problem sort it out or I get my f**king refund you talentless hacks
