Digital Copy of Halo 5. Game Title screen pops up then returns to menu screen. Error message pops up and says Sign in or renew the subscription. I did renew the subscription couple days ago but just recently tried playing the game. Again this is a Digital Copy purchased in the first month of original release.
This just happened to me to. I haven’t played Halo 5 in awhile, when I tried playing today I got the same message.
Is it an XBL message? If it is, you can chat with XBL support.
I just had the same problem. A hard reset worked for me. Hold the power button on the Xbox One until it turns off. Wait a second and then turn it back on again. It takes a lot longer to start up after the reset but it resolved my problem.
I was told I have to go buy a new disc, hard reset, deleted all 87.3 GB to see if works and nope
Check with XBL to make sure your account is in good standing.
I am having the same problem. I’m receiving an error to sign in to Xbox live or renew the subscription, error 0x803f900a. The game says I am not signed in as the subscription holder for the game. My account is in good standing, I have eight months left. A hard reset did not fix the problem. HELP!
Hey there. I’m an ambassador on the support forums on Xbox, and this issue is almost always resolved by calling Microsoft support. The first thing I would do is make sure that you can log in to Xbox.com and that your account is in no way compromised. As long as that’s OK, I would call Xbox support (1-800-4MYXBOX) and relay to them the error message you’re getting. Basically what they’ll do is re-certify that your Xbox is the home console and should resolve your issue.
Hope this helps!
Simply Restart your Console, should work after that. May also need to update too.

Please don’t revive old topics, thanks.
