HALO: MCC won’t even install its basic data (not the 15GB update) on my XBOX. It stops at 4% every time I try. I’ve gone offline, ejected the disc, uninstalled the data, cycled the power and rebooted the system, reinserted the disc, and the it still says “installation stopped, your disc may be damaged or dirty”. Anyone else having this issue? Basically, I can’t even play campaign or get the game to load at all now, so be happy if you’re just having matchmaking issues. I chatted with Microsoft support, and they pretty much gave the middle finger and said the servers are just busy, which shouldn’t affect my issue when I’m installing from the disc offline. The disc also has no observable damage. Should I return the disc or what? Help please???
Delete what started installing then restart the install
I already tried that. That’s what I meant when I said I uninstalled the data.
My Xbox wouldn’t even read my disk. I also tried a normal shut down and hard shutdown, but to no avail. It says the disk may be damaged or dirty. I thought it may have been my Xbox, but it loads my Destiny disk up just fine. 
Any update on this issue? I’m having the same problem and I’ve tried everything possible. I don’t want to return the disk if I don’t have to.
Been going through the same issue. Installation just stops at 27% with an error saying that the disc is dirty or damaged even though it just came out of the case.
Tried hard reset, installing offline and all that, nothing works.
No fix yet? 
Happened to me yesterday. Ejected the disc, wiped it off, and then it installed no problem.
Hard power off the xbox after canceling the install and going offline. It should work after that.
Been facing the same issue with my Halo MCC. It sticks at 97% every single time telling me that the disk is dirty. The disk is absolutely clean and works perfectly fine on another Xbox One system. Incidentally I had installed the game from the same disk in the past and then uninstalled it in between.
Same exact problem it stops at 16% and says dirty or damaged disk but works on my friends Xbox one, I’ve tried everything!
Did anybody find a solution for this? I’m having the same issue with madden 17 and can’t find anything on the Internet about it.
