Game with the most updates? World record?

Hey guys, just got another game update for the MCC today. I don’t know what it’s for and I don’t really feel like looking up info on it, but it got me thinking. Is the MCC the most updated game of all time? There have been so many updates, patches, quick bug fixes. Is there any game out there that compares? This game has been out for years and years and it’s been getting updates from day 1. Might be worth it to have 343 contact Guinness world records. Would be a kind of badge of honour. What do you guys think?

The update was to fix some issues with foreign languages localisation in ODST.

As for most updated game, nah. Probably games like WoW or FF or any MMO are a more likely contender for that title.

Yeah Even something like TF2 would beat it for most updated fps.

There far more games that have existed for far longer, that have many more updates than the mcc. But it has been updated a lot, for sure.

Is that something really worthy of praise? Your game being so broken that you have to constantly fix it.

Also I feel that if this were a record being tracked it would be very easy for a developer to boost their update count simply by splitting updates to patch one thing at a time, changing small things and reverting them back, or even releasing updates that do nothing.

At any rate, there are games that have been operating for over a decade that still receive updates. There is no way MCC holds any kind of record.

I honestly don’t think there is or should be a world record for most times a game was updated, it would be dumb.

I will say, however, that a game that gets routinely updated is better than a game that receives no updates whatsoever and collects dust and stays bugged.

I think Gears 5 received more than MCC. Seemed like there was an update a day for the thing before I finally uninstalled that disappointing mess of a game.
