Game Types restriction on LAN

Hope you can help me,
Yesterday I was playing on LAN with my friends but when i tried to play an MLG map on Halo 3 a message apeared, it said “Your account settings do not allow viewing user-generated content. Please change your user account settings to allow this content”

My profil does not have restrictions, do you know what do I have to do to fix this?

I dont know about that, but I can’t get LAN to work at all. How do you do it? Looked on YouTube for videos, but couldn’t find one. Thanks.

I just connected three xbox to a router with a ethernet cable, then went to “settings” and went to “red” changed the option “xbox live” to “lan” and that was it, I had some problems playing halo 2 classic, the conection got loss when we changed maps but only 2 times, but that was it… and of course the problem that I have.

If you connect the Xbox One consoles into a home router, they will be able to LAN. If you just connect them directly to each other, or connect them only with a switch, you will need to do some manual configuration before the LAN will work. The same steps are required if you’re direct connecting the Xboxes or if you were connecting 16 Xbox Ones together on a 16 port switch: without a DHCP server on the network, nobody is going to get an IP address. And 343i stated that every console needs an IP address.

I made a thread about this concept, with a link to my YouTube video on how to configure the network settings:

Having the same issue! Im hosting a +16 player LAN and can’t play any downloaded gamestypes!?

I wonder if your gamertag was ever a Microsoft child account? I have heard of leftover family settings causing messages like this.

Or if you are doing a completely offline-only LAN, maybe the family settings aren’t able to “check in” which means they have to assume the worst and revoke access to certain things?

I have no idea.
Tried checking everyones privacy settings (which means had to reconnect to the internet) everyone was set to “Adult”
