Hi I’m Zalrohg, and I have a problem with Selecting the Game type I want to play.
Please make specific games type selection. Whenever I go into Infinity Slayer, I seem to be thrown into a menu full of slayer pro games.
Please stop generalizing the game types in playlists, Make an individual playlist for each current game type. That means we only have to select a map and go, not worry about which game on which map. Example: -Infinity slayer -slayer pro -slayer (classic) -Infinity BTB
ect.
I don’t want to go into Infinity Slayer anymore and not have my loadouts or ordinance drops because I was lumped into a game type I didn’t sign up for. I have no problem playing any game type as long as actually want to play it at that time.

did you mean to say they do care about the items? little confused since if they did not care i don’t see how they would be disappointed if items were taken away lol.
But anyways, its time they learn how to manage without them then. I still find it funny when slayer pro gets voted half the people rage quit the lobby. I’ve never seen a game mode that induces so many players to quit so fast. I’m like “ok have fun quitting, the game type isn’t that bad or hard”.

The reasoning is Infinity is too random. Where is the fairness when a couple people on 1 team get pulse nadea, needlers, and speed boosts, while another team gets snipers, rockets, and incins? It ruins the gameplay and flow when the better people never seem to get equal footing. Ive noticed it seems the worse players frequently get better drops more consistantly, which in itself isnt fair at all.
> Or we could rename Infinity Slayer to Team Slayer and include Slayer Classic, Infinity Slayer and Slayer Pro - just like prior games?
OMG, no!
Have Team Slayer, Slayer Classic, Legndary Slayer nd Slayer Pro in one list AND retain teh ever popular and number one and two held play lists, BTIS and IS.
343i, you took on the mantle from Bungie. Bungie realized Halo 3 was deficient and came up with the great Halo Reach. 343i,you have continued with modernizing Halo for the better. However, 343i,your error was not including the non Infinity options in MM on launch day; over time, though, you have sought to rectify that error.
Don’t ruin the forward steps taken 343i, started by Bungie, and do a backwards thing like changing BTIS/IS play lists names and hiding it amongst these other modes and rendering it almost to the dust bin of history. It, Infinity, must stand out loud and proud.
Infinity (BTIS/IS) has been ranked one and two in the play lists since launch day, and for good reason. Stay firm and don;t ruin the one thing, the most popular thing, in modern Halo.
I do not support the either or options most on this forum advocate. Rather, I support both (all) options…something for everyone. I actually play Infinity Slayer, BTIS as well the other versions, Slayer Pro, Big Team Slayer and will also play Legendary Slayer. Therefore, I do not have a hidden agenda as I do like everything that has been done. As of 1 July, we will have wonderful options/choices…something for everyone.

Many would tend to disagree with you there, and I didn’t even get the chance to play Halo 3 multiplayer!
However, I do agree that they should not be mixed, but I don’t have too big a problem with it considering as The Little Moa has pointed out, it was done and worked in previous Halo games.
reach introduced power ups as loadouts, randomness in precision weapons and bigger hit boxes, an easier game does not make it better, in my opinion it makes a fun skillful game sub par

I feel like some of you who replied went off topic here.
The people I both play with regularly and meet randomly both seem to agree that there is a major problem in having to choose between game types. This was in previous halo games, and was a problem then too. Its annoying.
When 4 first came out and they had Just Infinity Slayer or Just CTF that was amazingly simple and all the different classes of game types need to be put on their own lists. This way we can find exactly what we are looking for.

Becuase its broken and the fixed loadouts make the BR OP, its been already said a thousand of times, and im pretty sure 343i knows it by now but they just dont want to fix it…
BTW, i always win in Pro using the CC. but thats just because im incredibly badass XD

This is how the game shipped. Some gametypes had to be consolidated because of population and community request (Team Objective). I would prefer if Infinity Slayer, Slayer Pro, Legendary Slayer, and Team Regicide were combined into one playlist. An alternate solution to this would be to put Infinity Slayer and Team Regicide in 1 list, and Slayer Pro and Legendary Slayer in another.
Spreading out the already thin population among too many playlists is bad, very bad. You will end up with ever more lopsided games and longer match times.
Better idea, remove the vote system completely and like what you get.
If every single game variant in Matchmaking had its own playlist, then the population would be divided excessively, resulting in a terrible gameplay experience for everyone. Therefore, similar game variants should be grouped into shared playlists whenever possible.
Slayer Pro and Infinity Slayer aren’t identical, but they are definitely similar enough to warrant putting both in a single playlist. Removing one or the other won’t help matters, because that would alienate fans of the removed variant. The only way to please as many players as possible is to keep them both in the same list.
