Game type idea. Fusion Flag

A game mode I think would be fun would be called flag fusion. There are two ways in which it can start. Ether each team has there own flag like in classic CTF, or they would spawn on the map randomly like in stockpile from Reach. I think the second would be more fun.

However you don’t capture the flag by taking it to your base. How you get a point is by having two flags touch. This would see what teams the holders are on. And each player would get a point for there team.

scenario 1: a red and blue both have a flag and touch. Both teams would get one point.

scenario 2: two reds have flags. red gets two points.

scenario 3: one player has a flag but the second has no holder. the team the one player is one would get a point.

scenario 1 might be a little problematic as is. so maybe you could only do that if one team was only one point away from winning (the game would not allow a “fusion until at least one player dropped there flag”.

I like the idea of keep away and defense. For you would want to work on keeping flags away from enemys while pushing for there own. Plus it would change how you play based on the score and how close you are to winning. like above if you only need one point you would want to fuse with an enemy and win it there… could even be a medal for that called “thanks for the win!”

I am always open for new/fun gametypes for the awesome custom games that WILL happen in H5 so good read OP, I do have to say though this kinda idea will prob not make it in to MM as its just to action sacky ( unless its in action sack ofc)

I will say though I feel the suggestion of it functioning similar to stockpile from Reach is a great idea and I feel that should be how it goes down…good thought good read and decent representation. 10/10

I agree with this ^^^^^^^
Its good to see people coming up with new gametypes, but this just seems a bit like a neutral stockpile game.

I would say, work on it a bit more, perhaps consider other factors such as time. Think about extraction, the teams have to start of the process and protect it for a length of time, but it can be converted at anytime.

I also agree and I’d suggest maybe to have one player each on the two teams spawn with a flagnum and have it that the first one to die and drop his flag doesn’t get any points, yet the one who is alive earns a point…just an idea…

I think a better way to go about it, is having 2 neutral flags on the map. THe only way teams can score a point is if 2 people from the same team are holding each flag and run to within a certain distance of each other. Maybe 5 meters and the flags disappear and that team is awarded 1 point. 2 new flags spawn at other random points on the map and the first team to 5 wins.
