Game-specific Unlocks

Hey guys. In the past I’ve seen a few games do this and even the Halo games have had a bit of it. In Halo Reach, you used to be able to change your nameplate next to your name if you’d played a certain Halo game (For example the Halo 2 logo or “ODST”). It’d be great if they brought something like this back, but give it more of a reward. I think the best way would be having an armour set if you’d played a certain game. For example:

Playing Halo Anniversary would unlock the Mark V armour set.

Playing Halo 3 would unlock the Mark VI armour set.

Playing Halo 3: ODST would unlock the ODST armour set.

Playing Halo Reach would unlock the Mark V armour set.
This would be a great way to see which Halo fans have played what games and it’d hopefully get people playing the older games as well.
Another alternative would be weapon skins. Maybe a black Magnum skin for playing ODST or dark grey Battle Rifle skin for playing Halo 3.

Maybe a nameplate, stance, or skin, but not an entire armor set.

Recognition is nice. I enjoyed Reach’s waypoint-exclusive armors; use the Base Security chest.

I like the idea of it unlocking weapon skins, but armor may be a stretch too far… perhaps have it so that it unlocks alternate skins of an existing armor set?

I.E; Unlocking the ODST Armor’s ‘Rookie’ Skin by beating H3 ODST on Legendary.

Maybe unlocking weapon skins by commendations could work as well. For example: Magnum - Gold = Golden weapon skin.

If unlocks like this are available, it should be armor variant skins, to existing armor; weapons variant skins, to existing weaponry; and unique emblems. Each game reward should have a few specific features, that are relevant to that game. The awards are for the campaign-only completion: the emblems rewards are given as a completion of normal difficulty; the weapons skins are given as a completion of heroic difficulty; and the armor skins are given as a completion of legendary difficulty. The rewards are as follows:
