Game Sounds are horrible! ;-(

Am I the only one who is thinking that the sounds are totally messed up? I mean…listen…just listen to them. It’s so weird. Most of them are toooo dominant…it just ruins gameplay for me ;(

what do you think? do you like the new sounds that showed up in the mp videos so far?

ps: i hate that ultra ugly wannabe warthog model. i’m never going to drive one of these garbagehogs…and when i have to…i will quit the game…put in the halo reach disk and have a nice trip with a beautifull warthog xD

whats wrong with the warthog it looks fresh and new. also it looks like something you would drive with style

I Agree.

The Sounds the spartans make when they walk, The sounds of footsteps, and debris hitting the ground after an explosion, are way too loud and dominating… But I think that they are only loud in the Current builds so that 343 can polish them and adjust them easier, and after that’s complete, they will turn it down a notch…

The final judgement will likely be made when I hear them from my little sound system.

It sounds exactly like Bad Company 2, especially the sprinting sound. Spartans don’t even have pouches or belts that would be making that sound when they sprint :frowning:

yeh spartans are heavy but do they have to sound like bigfoot.

You’re right, they don’t have very many pouches…

What they do have is about 2 tons of armor plating, 2 weapons, a couple of grenades, and an armor ability attached to their back. So, yeah, they would make alot of noise.

Sounds nice and fresh to me.

Eh, I atleast like the gun sounds. I like the punchy aspect.

There are only two sounds i dislike.

  1. I there is a sound that is similar to a -Yoink!-. This might be pulse grenades.

  2. Sometimes the gravity lifts sound so dumb it is mind blowing.

Other than that i like most of them very much.

that word is getting very irritating now

I neither love or hate the new sounds.

They look awesome and washed away at the same time, like its just missing something. Maybe more bass or something.

The magnum looks like a sneezing mouse also.

i just hate the way the sniper and a lot of the unsc weapons sound. haven’t really heard other stuff [because i wasn’t paying attention]

i like the coarse BANG the weapons had in reach. even the grav hammer now sound like it has a “sparkle” when you swing it. i am NOT liking the sounds in Halo 4

I completely, 100% disagree with you, but that’s just my opinion.

The sounds are great, IMO, all of them.

And dat Warthog is so damn -Yoink!-, again, IMO.

Everything sounds “realistic” which makes it all sound the same. Halo used to have a very dynamic pallet of weapon audio.

The only things I do like are the Forerunner weapon sounds, probably because they’re actually new. They sound unique, indescribably splooshy.

Covie weapons need a sound makeover… that is all

The new sounds will take some new getting used to, just like everything else. January will come and I won’t even remember what the Reach DMR sounded like.

The sounds are very different from the past Halo games, but I really like them. At first I’ll admit I wasn’t entirely sure if I liked them or not, but after watching a lot of footage with my headphones in I can definitely say that I like the new sound design.

I especially like the grenade lobbing sound. Feels like you’re really putting some strength into that throw.

From what I’ve heard, the AR sounds beefier, angrier.

Along with the DMR.

It’s not that bad.

Personally I LOVE the new sounds. The DMR sounds maniacal and the weapons sound like you think they would given the SCI-FI setting. They shouldn’t sound like today’s weapons - they should have some uniqueness to them.
