This is like my fourth time having to download the entire game! Everyday it shows up as 0GB in My Games & Apps! Anyone know what is causing this? I saw the post by 343 saying that you have to delete the game and re-install it, but everyday it’s still doing the same thing!!!
Do we really need to reinstall?
It took me 2 -Yoinking!- days to download it. Now some error makes me have to go through that again?

Well when I uninstalled and reinstalled everything seemed to be fine. Then the day after it happened again. Happened a few more times and today it happened AGAIN!
I just started a different thread on this (in the wrong section) because I hadn’t seen any yet.
The odd thing about mine showing 0GB (well right now its showing 14MB because of two pre-order REQ packs) is that my total system memory still shows that ~55GB is stored on my console. I’m not sure if it is actually there or not.

Thanks Fluffy Lemur! My heart dropped at the thought of having to redownload at my average speed of 1.2mbps.
By restart (as this is my first xbox one) do you mean just turn it off using the center button on the controller or unplug it from the wall?
Do a hard reset so unplug it completely and/or turn it off using the Energy Save mode instead of instant on mode. Do note I haven’t tried this method yet but I’m simply relaying information I’ve heard elsewhere for this exact problem.
I just unplugged it for about 10 seconds and plugged it back it. The download still only shows 15MB for the promo REQ packs.
Please 343, fix these -Yoinking!- issues before the official release tonight!!!
The annoying thing is, my brother has the same settings on his Xbox One… Energy Saving etc, but his game is totally fine!
Speculation at this point but I am assuming if you have 54.8 GB of space gone on your hard drive, but your Halo 5 says 0GB, that we are ok and it’ll correct itself when the game is released.
The only issues I’ve read about have been where people have had to completely reinstall, has been when the person didn’t even have more than 40GB of space taken for Halo 5.

I got the Halo console and a 1TB external hard drive so GB Space is not an issue. Maybe you’re right, it might sort itself out when the game officially goes live.
But then what if it doesn’t? Do we just have to accept the poor state the industry is in right now? Every game coming out broken, missing content, having to download again at midnight even though thats the whole point of pre-downloading. It’s a -Yoinking!- joke! It’s not like 343 is on here constantly replying to people, they don’t have live chat or a phone number!
We should not be having this stupid -Yoinking!- issue, especially after just spending like £400 on their new limited edition console FFS!!!

This is completely true. There should be support monitoring the forums and answering all issues almost immediately.
At this point I, like FlatBack. I am just thinking that its a simple error that will work itself out at midnight. Though I still have this minor feeling that something may just go terribly wrong and at midnight I"ll be forced to re-intall, which will take until thursday night for me. Support should have already looked into this and given the appropriate answer here.

Talking to Xbox Support now. According to this rep, as long as you have 54.8 GB of space taken up on your hard drive, your game will revert to showing the proper amount of GB once the Day 1 patch is released to unlock the game.
Xbox Rep - “It is game server issue which cause it not to appear to correctly this time. But once the server is up and running on the official release date, this should appear correctly. You can surely treat this as resolved and you should be able to start playing the game then.”
Thank you very much for going through support for this answer FlatBlack! Much respect!

No worries. I own a small business with my dad so I purposely cleared all of tomorrow’s schedule so I could play. I also have mediocre download speeds where I live so it’s paramount that my install works the first time, otherwise I’ll have to go over to my cousin’s house to install the game.

Thanks a lot! But how do I know if Halo has taken 54.8GB of space? I have over 400GB left, I have loads of games installed.

Go to Settings > System > Manage Storage - Check each game you’ve installed, subtract the total number of GB, and you should be able to easily tell, within a GB or so, whether or not you have the full 54.8 GB.
It’s tedious, I know, but that’s the best way to check.

Jesus that’s gonna take a while! But thanks anyway. It’s annoying that it hasn’t done this on my brother’s Xbox!
The game is there, however i believe it’s just a glitchy thing with the digital pre ordered copies. I got the digital version too and it’s doing the same thing for showing it’s at 0 GB. I did the math of course before I was thinking about reinstalling the whole game again. Halo 5 is 56.8GB as of right now, an empty Xbox One starts with 365GB. So if you feel if it’s not really there, subtract 56.8 from you’re current storage free bar from my games and apps. If it matches the amount of storage you have from what you subtracted, then it really is gone. Or add all the GB you have from all of the game you currently have, then add the 56.8 in. Then see if it matches the amount you currently have. Bottom line is that it just looks to be a notification glitch instead of the game deleting it self like some people are thinking. Hope this is helpful.
