***Game Rebellions***

So i’ve been thinkin’ there WILL be alot of complaints about Halo 4, there will be a rebellion against it, people will say the first 3 halos were better, or will even say reach was better.

People just dont like change, but you should expect some change in a sequel. They’re just
trying to make it new and different.

I’ll tell you a story:

When Halo Reach first came out I LOVED IT. I had been playing Halo 3 alot getting ready
for it. And i was super happy that it came out.

I was like that for a few weeks and then there were threads on the B.net forums pointing
out all of the things people dont like about reach (bloom, armor lock, etc) most of them
were for armor lock. But then people start saying the other stuff more, saying that reach
was a bad game and it shouldn’t be considered a real halo game.

And you know what? I started to believe them. I used to hate Halo Reach, i started
thinking about how different it was and if it really was good.

So i decided to go back to Halo 3 and that’s what i played, but then i got bored
because i had already been playing that for so long.

So i just stopped playing Halo altogether for a while, and when i wanted to play it
again, and i thought more about this, and i realized i had been brain washed.

Yes that is what i believe, and that’s what i believe happened to most people out
there. They were brain washed, after you started seeing complaints you started to
consider them and believe in them. And now you believe in them so hard that they
have become you opinion.

But just think, did you decide for yourself that Halo Reach was bad? Or did you just
agree with what other people were saying?

Were you playing the game and decided it was bad? Or were you on the Forum?

I realized along time ago that i needed to think about what I thought. And
you know what i think? Halo Reach is a fun game, that is my own opinion, no one elses
i thought of that myself. And i’ve played halo reach happily for almost two years now,
with no complaints, i haven’t ever complained about armor lock.

So what do you think? Is what you think your own opinion? Or was it based off someone
elses? Just think about that. And remember there will always be haters, there always is
and think before you agree with them.

Note: (Im not trying to make anyone change their opinion, im only asking you to think
about it and if its your real opinion)

PS: my hand hurts from typing so long

Everything will always have the group of people that dislike it, there is no way of avoiding it. Even Frankie said it himself. Heck, there are even people that dislike kittens.

Yep, that’s part of what i said, there’s no way you can get everyone to like the same
thing.

My sentiment exactly. I used to adore H3. Now it’s one of my least favorite Halo games.

As for hating Reach, sure reading it on the forums had some impact on my bias but the reason why I dislike Reach is because it’s not such a big change from H3. The cp system is still unchanged, most weapons are underpowered for the player, the enemy AI still aren’t fun to fight, the friendly AI are still horrible, there’s a lot of scripting that cannot be tampered with, vulgar limitations (AI being deleted, tight invisible barriers), and we still have to play as a weak character.

All sorts of cheap -Yoink-, bs, and things done wrong burying the things that could have made Reach stand out (i.e. AI throwing grenades while still in cover). It’s all because it’s an unholy fusion of Halo games.

Imo, the fun died in H3. If Reach was more like CE or H2, I would have welcomed it.

The original post is exactly what the crybaby crowd wanted to hear.

The forum is where many outcasts, loners, and crybabies come to vent because nobody will listen to their radical rants in real life.

They use deceptive language to make the weak-minded slowly conform to their dissatisfaction with the particular gameplay elements that don’t suit their familiarity that they’ve built up with the previous titles.

It happens in nearly every message board, on every topic. Stupidity is contagious. Even worse, it can’t be moderated, because idiots and dimwits are technically entitled to their moronic opinions.

I truly believe that people throw out any possible idea their minds can come up with in hopes of sparking revolutions, and they declare themselves some kind of forum celeb if by chance a gang of idiots support them and help spread their BS.

I still remember way back when people where whining and complaining about every little thing in Halo 3. For example, there was a time when people absolutely HATED Guardian. A few years later it’s one of the most popular maps in Halo 3.

My point is that people will ALWAYS whine and moan about the new game, but think back with rosy glasses on the previous titles. There will be people that will bash the hell out of Halo 4 no matter what and will say that it sucks compared to Reach. It’s all cyclical. It will happen.
