Game pitch: Installation 04

WE have gotten a lot of extended lore and world building on the events of halo CE through the years from the flood to fire team raven and even reach adding to it. So why not put that together in a game using infinities engine and new mechanics.

Instillation 04

A collection of stories set on the ring, includes the following campaigns each with a unique character an perspective.

Reclaimer:

master chiefs story, a combined arms combat story to the end. New features like infinite style Overshield and cloak, new enemies and vehicles, and marines up until two betrayal.

Story beat updates: assault on the control room includes an actual assault echo 419 dropping of marines and a hog, falcons giving covering fire while you push up the structure ODST’s dropped when you go to take it.

On two betrayals, You start with marines and they are all over the map, fighting in pockets in 4 way battles against the flood, covenant, and sentinels. The last you hear of marines is on the maw with cortana telling you marines are fighting down bellow they are doing their best to stop a scarab I suggest we move before it gets here.

Orion

Johnsons story, more a story of survival and long range combat, more use of the sniper as it is his starting weapon. new tools like the flamethrower and GPMG come in later as you fight along side chief and later fight the flood to survive. Canonicly your missions start on halo with you and your marines defending that point until chief arrives then holding out for echo 419, the mission continues to clearing out alpha base with ODSTS.

From there you get to join the assault on the Pillar of Autumn with the rest of the marines then go into 343 from a different angle earlier and watch as your allies turn. In this mission specificly you detonate the elevator heading down preventing chief from going up. Not that you know it. AS you push your way to an area and keys pelican to get out.

You are cut off moving from location to location trying to regain contact only to evac just as the ring explodes with a few other marines…

Raven

Fire team raven’s story, You are an ODST, no shields, no Orion flood immunity, just heavy training and heavy armor. Fight through its story, notably shorter then the others. Not explaining as it is fire team raven.

Honour

Play the Arbiter before he was the Arbiter, this one plays with commentary like he is telling the story from his side to the UNSC. Through out the first half you are fighting the UNSC in different locations, but when the flood comes the fighting moves to space. Only to survive the event do to a cleansing of a flood infested ship in the air right as the ring explodes.

Flood hunter

you are chips, you survived, now you tell your story. Thankfully helmet recording backs up most of what you said. Fight through the flood starting at the outbreak point with keys and his squad having just fallen watch Johnson escape and chief be taken, fight with the few survivors you have to reach echo 419, only to barely make it. From there you fight through events of raven from another angle up until the battle for the control room during the flood outbreak. where you split off to help defend it and evac the last survivors.

your final fight a soldier with nothing not even heavy armor vs a juggernaut that just ripped your evac falcon out of the sky. Once that is done you and stacker steal a spirit and escape.

UNSC

WEAPONS

SMG (rarely seen, raven starts some missions with suppressed versions)
h2 pistol (replaces the magnum for the crew members and on most maps.)
Flamethrower (introduced in assault on control room becomes a main stay after that.)
DMR (Chief doesn’t see but johnson and raven get it.)
Grenadier MA5 (Chips starting weapon, found on some levels, instead of a smart scope has a grenade launcher. and a 32 round mag)
Suppressed sniper (Johnsons main weapon.)

Vehicles

Falcon (seen in cutscenes and giving fire support)
Cyclops (seen in the Autumn being used a few times, can be used by chief in the engine room.)


Covenant

weapons

Needle rifle (added to jackels and elites as a sniper weapon.)
fuel rod gun (can actually be used)
excavator ( a small plasma pistol shotgun.)
Plasma repeater (Arbiters starting weapon with an energy sword.)
Focus rifle (Added to snipers in later levels)
Hunter cannon (when you kill a hunter with explosives.)

Vehicles

Locust (driven In arbiter levels, fought in silent cartographer, assault on the control room, and two betrayals. can get one to drive in the last one.)
Wraith, and AA wraith (can be piloted, AA wraith added to some areas to explain how pelicans got shot down.)


Post launch content

installation 04 is meant to be unique a single, co-op, and fire fight focused game with PvP not in it as we have infinite and MCC for that. Once it is out the goal is to expand the story with the main story being these are the UNSC archives on the data being gone over by the created after cortana’s fall. New stories and simulations added as they get more knowledge and more interesting new fractures.

Fractures are the created looking at other timelines and realities through the domain these are altered versions of the campaigns in some way some of them are minor like giving all grunts suicide packs, or allowing covenant to use human weapons.

others are major like adding Linda as a player 2 outside of co-op, having echo 419 survive or having bio weapons and mists deployed on the map making areas hazardous.

Major fractures may even have completely different levels, like in the Iron fracture the covenant and flood are the same thing in a way meaning they never fight each other, making keys a boarding action with some marines, or in the Japanese fracture the elites are on your side from day one with bruits replacing them completely as enemies changing the outcome with echo 419 evacing you via a spirit.

these fractures can include the other campaigns as well like in Iron fire team raven have shields and are a spec ops class of jumpers with jetpacks, johnson is an orian with full armor, though the Arbiters levels do not exist.

Other faractures may have unique campaigns like the Japanese one having the Arbiters campaign working with the UNSC as he and his crew fight a bloody space battle to reach the Autumn before it is to late. starting on reach and ending at halo just as it blows up. (this one has Jorge alive as a spartan out of time.)
