Xbox Live Gold is no longer required for any Free to Play game. So games like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, etc. can be played online even if you don’t have a Gold account. We don’t even need Gold for Party Chat as well, which was required earlier I think.
Same will go for Halo Infinite Free to Play Multiplayer. You won’t require Gold to play it. The 60 dollar Campaign is separate, and yes, it will launch on Game Pass Day 1, since all Xbox published games launch on Game Pass Day 1.

Like the other replies… Yes, it will be on Game Pass day one. Yes, the multiplayer is completely free, no gold or any other paywall required.
