Game often needs to reinstall after updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? I have Halo MCC installed on 2 computers at home so I can coop it with my son. It seems that after nearly every time there’s either an update for Windows or for the game, the game borks itself requiring a reinstall. On top of needing to be reinstalled, the game actually wouldn’t reinstall and gives an error. To actually get the game to install again, I had to delete the following folder.
C:\Users*User_name*\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Then reboot my computer.

Then everything is good for a while until Microsoft releases another update.

This has happened randomly on both my computers at home. Both installs of the game are using game pass and the Microsoft Store, not Steam.

Make sure and file a bug report about this on the Halo Support site: https://aka.ms/HaloSupport

Be sure to read over the known issues list first before reporting

Ok thanks. I just filed a bug report.
Halo was launching just fine until… you can probably guess… new update to the game because Halo 3 was just released.

The same trick fixed it so it’s redownloading. I’ll report back on the next game update.
