I believe that after Misha Mansoor and his Breaking The Covenant contribution to Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 5 would do extremely well with some heavy Metal riffs and a lot of breakdowns. I think it adds that gritty excitement to Halo. I would love to see more Metal in Upcoming Halo games. Not that this opinion would be chosen by 343 and implemented completely. A few metal tracks in Halo 5 would be amazing. Who agrees?
I don’t like metalcore. At all. It’s made me hate breakdowns in all forms lol.
But seriously, that’s not really the point. I don’t think metal (or really any modern mainstream or semi-mainstream music) would fit Halo’s feel at all.
I wouldn’t mind hearing grunts sing this, however. It would just fit.
That’s

that’s fine. Opinion noted. I’m not a hipster, well I might be. (I don’t know these days) Ill be completely honest, I too despise mainstream music to the core. That’s why I don’t use the radio in my car. Halo has used a lot of metal-esc riffs in the past and I think that adding a whole space opera, industrial, metal sound to the game would make it thrilling to play in a battle scenario. I don’t think any of the music that has ever been used for halo except breaking Benjamin has been mainstream. Then again music can be debated to the end and back. Not looking for an argument.
That’s a really bad idea. I mean, metalcore is quite possibly one of the worst genres out there

If so than Metalcore is a masterpiece genre compared to that pop techno noise crap.
Oh yeah, because metalcore would fit sooooo well.
I could totally jam with this song playing in the background.

I didn’t mean “mainstream” so much as “techno-rave-party-Big Sean-yoloswag”, but more along the lines of music normally listened to by people. Anything from metal, rock, rap, funk, death metal-jazz fusion, etc. The metal riffs in Halo kind of fit along side the “space opera” feel, and I’m not sure how something like full-on metalcore would sound and add to the feel of Halo.
My personal opinion on metalcore aside, if it works then it works. I’m just a bit skeptical.
Noooo way. I think that would be the decision a very bad one to make

Not what I had in mind. But okay… I didn’t know that crappy band still existed. What a joke. Hahahahahaha

Agreed
It’s not that I don’t like the genre, it’s just that it doesn’t fit well in the game. Unless you’re playing from Johnson’s perspective in which case it might make a little bit of sense because the man loved metal.
