I have been enjoying my time with Halo Reach again. I need to give a shoutout to my local gamestop for giving me a sweet trade in bonus for Destiny 2, and having pre-owned copies of Halo 3, 4, and Reach which I got. To the point; I was wondering if anyone has been able to get games consistently in The Arena, and Team Objective. I have tried for several days but while I may find 1-2 players searching I never get a game. Was curious to know if anyone knows a peak time, or if the modes themselves are deserted. I remember back in the day The Arena had a ton of forge maps that I didn’t really experience in Social Slayer and other modes, was hoping to get some games in.
The Standard playlist is still very strong, but the Evolved playlist is mostly dead we’re it not for BTB.
The community playlist’s only attraction is Grifball and that is full of Cr farmers.
Not sure about the Anniversary playlist, but I think the Anniversary Slayer is being capable of standing up.
In cooperative, Co-op Campaign has it’s population, don’t really know if it’s dead or alive. Firefight however might be strong. I don’t know because my Internet is garbage when playing gamemodes that contain AI with other players.
Yea from what I see so far the Evolved playlist is pretty spotty outside of BTB. Found a Co-op campaign game so people still search for that, and firefight still has some from what I have seen. I can’t speak for your internet, but I have pretty decent connection 150 Download 30 upload, and firefight is still pretty sluggish for me as well. Heard the new XB1X firefight ran pretty smooth but that’s just what I’ve heard I don’t have one so I can’t test it on my end yet.
Well lucky you. I’ll just have to stick to MP if I want to earn credits and rank up fast.
Ah no disrespect, and believe it or not I got this good speed but a lot of times its not as stable as its supposed to be. Honestly Id rather grind MP for credits, that’s just me though lol. My only problem now is that my girlfriend isn’t showing up on Reach when I am sitting right beside her. Can’t join her game and she can’t join mine. Hard reset it all, even reset interwebz still not showing up, so I am at a loss right now.

These are the playlists you would for sure find a game. When there were working population counters, all of the above playlists would have at least 100 players in them typically, with Team Slayer having probably 500 at any given time.

Living Dead?
Yea thanks for the replies, everyone is pretty much spot on and yes Living Dead was another playlist that is pretty populated that I have been able to find games. My brother and I recently started playing the classics again and we have had a lot of fun. Really have missed 3, 4, and especially Reach, thankfully G’Stop gave me great trade in credit for my Destiny 2 copy.
Don’t forget, custom games with friends can be fun as well if you don’t care about low cR payout (I would say wait for the daily challenge ‘Shootin N Lootin’, ‘Blastin N Relaxin’, or ‘Light Fare’ to pop up to counteract this if it is a big deal). I actually have one in my File Share called ‘Hunters Vs Hunters’ for Custom Firefight.
The idea of it is to relieve stress and have fun at the same time. Take Hunters on with Gravity Hammers, or fire a shot from your Fuel Rod and Reload like a Hunter. Basically, be the Hunter XD.
You can also find other fun gametypes and maps if you look around. My friend RJCCJ should have a fun map in his file Share for custom games called Intersection. He made it himself and it is loads of fun.

Awesome now this is the type of stuff were looking for. We started our club “Halo Society” just a handful of members but hoping to grow and get more so we can do things such as this. I like the competitive aspect, it’s what held my attention when I first played it, but as I’ve gotten older I just wanna have fun again. I work a full time job and been lucky to have some time off recently to enjoy these classic games once again. I hope more players come back to the game like myself, I have a greater appreciation for the games. Not to mention the games are BC and all DLC is free. It took me 2, 616 days but I finally unlocked “If they came to hear me beg” achievement yesterday.
