Since Halo 3 I have yet to see some of the classic game modes. Halo 5 had different modes that would change from weekend to weekend but why can’t these be permanent.
I would love to see a few different ranked modes added in to the new Halo such as team doubles! It would be nice to have team doubles as a mode we can play all the time idk why they got rid of it.
Also it would be interesting to see maybe a 3v3 mode. A ranked mode of that would be really nice to have but I’d live with just a normal 3v3. Sometimes you don’t always have the whole team of 4 to play with but still want to play ranked games but not have to worry about the random player/s that you might get stuck with. So adding in smaller team modes would be a very nice addition to the list.
Increase the population is the priority mission for 343. Make it much more friendly to casuals, then veterans. Frankie said he’s happy with current design and he’s a casual. He should play more with Pros to feel and know the pain from casuals, not vs casuals.

The reason they don’t have all those modes in the rotation as permanent playlists is because the population can’t support it. The game is so dead they’re even contemplating on making BTB a rotational mode and will be doing it with WZ assault.

No you can still play doubles. It wasn’t in the game at launch however.
As for Halo Infinite, I am hoping for a Social/Ranked set of playlists like we had in the past. Looking to Halo 3 for example:
- Rumble Pit / Lone Wolves - Social Slayer / Team Slayer - Social Skirmish / Team ObjectiveI would also love a 1v1 playlist at launch. I know they haven’t been popular or stayed for long in the past, but I always enjoyed them. People are concerned about the leader camping or hiding, but in Halo 3’s Head to Head playlist, an icon was placed over the leader’s head. I don’t remember if that was for the whole match or just after a certain amount of time.
If the game doesn’t have ranked team doubles AT LAUNCH, I am not buying.
I get the case being made for the classic team slayer, etc… but I play with like 1 or 2 people max - and I don’t want to play with some filler scrubs. 343i messed up by bringing doubles back after everyone bounced…
Also, what about TEAM TRIPS? Like 3v3 sounds lit, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4… it is common sense no brainer stuff here.
Give us Ranked BTB on Infinite. That would be incredible.
