Game mode idea: Objective firefight

Objective firefight is a 2 squad PvE game mode where players must complete 3 main objectives while defending an FoB from hostile forces.

this game mode has 3 main traits.

  1. 3 objectives then boss gameplay which should lasts about 20 minutes.
  2. points earned allow you to buy supplies at the FoB from a sidekick for 50, to a tank for 2,000
  3. Limited respawns, you have 3 lives per player die 3 times and you are out.

The objectives and hostiles are random but here is a list of a few.

OBJECTIVES

Activate AA guns
info: find 3 power seeds around the map and bring them to 3 AA guns to power them up and take out spawning wasps or banshess.

eliminate boss
info: take out a high value target, be it an insurrectionist with a sniper rifle, or a spec ops elite cloaked and trying to take you out. or worse yet a flood infested wasp droping flood spore bombs while firing its mgs at you.

Save marines
info: same as campaign, find and disable the generators keeping them trapped, generally 3 squads. bring them back to the FoB complete.

Power FoB
info: find 2 power seeds on the map and bring them to the FoB to power its weapons and supply pad.

note: these are just a small sample of ideas, you will always have 3 objectives and once they complete a final boss objective.

Boss objectives

info: these are the cap stones to the mission, complete them and the match is over. examples bellow

Kill general
info: a brute, elite, or even spartan IV boss, strong heavily armed and equipped. Nothing is worse then a spartan with a hydra and overshield willing to kick your -Yoink!-. buffed for simulation so he is stronger then you.

Destroy tower
info: an objective fuel tower is on the map. it was shielded until this point. find enough explosives to blow it up.

Survive assault
info: a large force of enemies is attacking the FoB and your respawns have just been disabled.

Survive siege
info: like assault but is more vehicle focused.

power X structure
info: example bring 5 power seeds to a banished AA gun to shoot down a condor or something.

Hostile forces

info: to simulate more accurate combat encounters, the hostiles in this mode are random yet consistant bellow are a list of the hostiles you will encounter you will only encounter one type per mission, maybe 2 if in flood missions.

insurrectionists
info: human hostiles, armed with ballistic and plasma weapons, have sanghelli, ungoy, and jackal mercs as support. Said covenent forces in their ranks use human weapons. Bosses are weaker but tend to come in squads, exception is spartan traitors.

Sanghelli fanatics
info: based on Jul 'Mdama’s covenant. these are the halo 4 style hostiles. Mostly elites, ungoy, and the Ibie’shan jackals which are a lot more mobile and generally do not use shield gauntlets. this is the only faction to use storm rifles.

Banished forces
info: the campaign hostiles

war game
info: Marines, fighting spartans, what have things been coming to. bosses are generaly ODST’s this is a war game, you may have marine complain after getting headshot as it is simulated.

Flood containment breach
info: a fog covers the map, popper flood are constant, and shields are required. don’t go down spartan because if you do the infection forms will bring you back as a shielded hostile. Bosses are flood infected vehicles, spartans, or worse.
