Game mode idea: big team forts

Game mode basic: Big team forts, has both teams fighting each others “fort” in this mode each team has to protect their base and 2 “outposts” while trying to blow up the enemies base and outposts.

gameplay: teams spawn in a base which has shields and auto turrets protecting it. inside is the spawn point for a bomb and several armory points. From there the players must escort their bomb to an enemy out post and destroy its shield generator with said bomb. While also defending their outposts.

The outposts are a shield generator/ Gun turret similar to the Halo wars 2 turrets. setting the bomb down at the base starts a 30 second timer if the bomb isn’t removed by the end of that 30 seconds it detonates, destroying the outpost weakens the enemy bases shields. On the destruction of the first outpost all hostile base turrets will be destoryed, on destroying their second outpost their base shield will go down.

Once both outposts are destroyed the team must push in and set their bomb on the enemies center generator (where they pick up their bomb) from there the enemy must try and stop the bomb from being placed, if the bomb is placed and detonates the fort goes up and the team with the remaining fort wins.

In the case of both forts remaining up at the end of the timer the team with the most outposts left wins.

Gameplay notes: has a heavy focus on infantry play with very few vehicles, though this varies from map to map.

With forge this is maybe possible. Sounds like dominion mixed with warzone mixed with assault mixed with invasion, which makes it sound overly complex. Certain aspects, like auto turrets, likely wont be seen in game (But I would very much like to see auto turrets, those are great)

This type of game needs a balanced push-pull flow of gameplay, because it’s a bomb game type.

Maybe there’s team bases with a spawn outpost each, and a central contesting outpost. Whoever owns the contesting outpost could gain access to the spawn outpost. If they take that, then they can push for the main base and plant the bomb. The defenders, at that point, need to take back either their spawn outpost or the contesting outpost, since both are needed to gain access to the base, this way the defending team are not hard pressed for only one option. Also, if the defenders get ahold of the contesting outpost, the enemies would lose the spawn outpost!

Maybe this is something to collaborate on with forge.

Yeah most likely this will be a forge made mode, and simplified to the point of being fun.
