Doesn’t a lot of certain things in the game feel like it happens by complete RNG? I’ve noticed it especially with melee and other things like vehicle splatters (during trying to get the weekly challenge finished of splattering people 5 times). Somehow I see one guy just easily one shot splatter another person with the mongoose. I try it, only at most takes their shield off. Back smack someone while they’re jumping out of the passenger seat of a Warthog? Nah you don’t deserve to do any damage to them, but they can turn their face around and melee the front of your chest and THAT being considered a back smack in halo infinite’s eyes. Headshots also do feel inconsistent as well to me, especially with the pistol. Shooting them in the head with a pistol three times after their shield has been downed and no headshot, while I shoot someone’s arm and now THAT is considered a headshot. Many mechanics in this game make me feel I’m not in control a lot of the time and just feels RNG decides if I get to kill or not at times.
I’ve wondered this too, I’ll drop 38 kills in a match and die 4 times, next match get rocked into 11-17. I feel like there’s something fishy going on with the TTK / performance per match, but I can’t be sure. Just have read about that adaptive difficulty patents that EA was making and it made me suspicious.
Who knows, I hope it’s just me or lag.
you would be correct. poor netcode resulting in desync causes a lot of issues with hit registration.
Desync is ruining this game. It’s so bad. I had to quit playing. There’s nothing fun about playing a game that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. And I understand it’ll happen but it happens game after game. It’s such a poor netcode.
Has nothing to do with your ping. Desync happens even on great ping. Problem is that the desync occurs way too often. Not worth playing consistently unless you’re making money off this game. This game feels like flipping coins.
