Game mechanics are broken, of course

I know it’s early for the game and every game has been broken one way or another for the first few months at least. The two biggest issues I’d say are hit registration and melees.
You can play a game or two here and there and feel what the shot registration is supposed to feel like and then a lot of games you can shoot somebody over and over in the face with no shield and they just keep running.
Being killed after you’ve escaped behind a wall, according to your screen, seems too prevalent to just be chalked up to internet play. It didn’t feel like it even happened as much on older titles with 1/10th the internet capabilities we have now.
I know the melees being broken isn’t just me because I’ve literally heard the melee sound trigger and taken no damage from an enemy. The lunges seem very inconsistent as well, sometimes not lunging a foot to an easy melee and sometimes lunging several feet for a melee that shouldn’t even work.
The hammer has one shot killed me several times when I jump off the person’s head or a crate and have got to be like 15 ft off the ground. That’s just crazy. I’m not sure what mechanics have changed but isn’t jumping supposed to help you survive?
Has anybody gotten a kill with the ravager? Its only purpose seems to be zoning enemies from objectives with fire, since even with a fully charged direct shot I’ve yet to get a kill with it unless the person was one shot. It looks like a power weapon, but feels like the weakest weapon in the game.
The hydra also feels extremely underpowered for a grenade launcher. It takes 5-6 shots to kill somebody with it?
The pulse carbine is poop. Basically it can only be effective in combination with a headshot weapon. A redundant plasma pistol that acts like a plasma rifle is silly.
The bulldog’s range seems very inconsistent, it seems it’s supposed to work about 20 ft away with a 3 shot kill, sometimes it doesn’t want to hit its full range and why not be a 2 shot up closer? The old shotguns were close range one shots and I don’t remember anybody complaining. It was a power weapon and respected as such.
Mangler melee seems a little too strong if you can one shot double melee a full over shield if you catch them slightly off guard. Maybe the OS is much weaker in this game, but still.
Overall the game feels like it should shape up to be a great title in the series, but it feels extremely broken at times. Frustratingly broken. This could be due to server issues on a lot of this, but some balancing tweaks are definitely in order. I just hope they happen before the player base dies out of frustration.
Certain challenges are ridiculous. If you know BTB is broken take the challenges for it and vehicles away from the pool. Also, 10 kills with a ravager, hydra or plasma carbine, which are currently garbage weapons, is a silly challenge and should be removed from the pool until addressed. You basically have to swap these challenges to get the weekly reward and after you hit battle pass 100 you have no way to earn swaps.

Many mentioned there is a sync issue meaning the server doesn’t see you behind the wall as you do. And, it’s true, Halo 2 never had this issue; its main issue is you mostly would lag to the point where you are running against a wall, lmao

I disagree with this. I didn’t realize how effective it was until bots kept dominating me with it. Plus, you can also fire then evade to cover while the burst finishes the kill moments later. In some ways, it’s OP
