So one of the big topics I see people complain about with the challenges are game specific ones and they are justified I have gone through needing to win 1 Stronghold match but have to play through 4 other matches before getting a stronghold match and hope that the 3 random people I am matched with work well enough together to win the match because if not I have to play through even more game modes hoping to get another stronghold match.
People wants 343 to get rid of the game specific challenges meaning coming up with even more challenges while trying to fix other problems people are complaining about like getting plus more content and a slew of other things.
My solution was simple when you go into Quickplay you see Game list when you click on that it gives you every game mode plus maps in Quickplay, Rumble pit does it also.
Simply uncheck the game modes you do not want the game to cycle through only the games you want to play with now the one caveat is you must have at least 2 game modes selected.
Some people and even 343 might believe it won’t work due to a long wait time well I am going to argue that case right now.
I play Call of duty Vanguard and yes the game sucks compared to Halo heck play that game for a weak you’ll come back to Halo with a better appreciation for the game. The reason why I play it is because all my friends from my Xbox friends list only play Vanguard and I love playing with people
Vanguard has the edit option in game and my friend edits as followed. Hardcore (Never Core) no cross play Xbox controller players only, and for games Hard point, Patrol and Kill Confirm now Vanguard has 7 game modes to choose from (9 but I do not count the ones that is about specific maps) we only pick 3 modes to cycle through and have typically a 4 to 6 squad members with us and we do not have an issue finding a game, yes there are times where it takes longer than usually to find one but typically no issue.
So how does this prove my point, well if you go to Most played games in the Microsoft store Halo at this time of writing is at #10 where Vanguard is at #18 so Halo has almost double the number of players playing over Vanguard and if Vanguard can do a game mode edit system and still find games, I strongly feel so can Halo.
If 343 is afraid that some game modes will never get play time well that just shows because the community do not want it or like it.
When you go into Quickplay Halo has 7 Game modes heck you could add Fiesta to Quick play with the editing option in the game list section.
Rmble pit Halos FFA has a lot of different game modes and you can even add an edit function for Tactical slayer if they add more modes like Tactical CTF or tactical Oddball.
