As the title suggests, my game keeps freezing. I am on the mission ‘Keyes’ and it has frozen on me twice now, forcing me to restart the mission. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It has not happened prior to this mission. I was almost done with it this time, too…
I had this happen last night on ‘Truth and Reconciliation’. The game simply locked up. I tried to pull up the XBox Live menu and only heard the sound but nothing else.
It was a real drag considering I was almost complete on the mission (of course my checkpoint didn’t save either!).
Some folks on the forum have started to make mention of similiar freezing as well.
Yeah it keeps freezing for me too on Truth and it also just froze on me during the 343 guilty level near the end where you first meet 343.
It’s frozen on me 4 times now without saving my previous checkpoint. I also have it installed to the HDD
Happend to me twice on Keyes aswell…
Happened to me on Truth immediately after exiting the Prison room. Had to restart the whole 360, and by extension, the level. Frustrating 
The game crashed for me as well on Silent Cartographer (just after activating the map room).
Hope it get’s fixed on v1.2.

Damn thats got to suck, im suprised I havnt seen any game freezes yet.
I remember Halo 1 freezing on me a couple of times, and Anniversary has already done it once yesterday while playing T&R. It’s kinda disappointing that they haven’t resolved those issues.
First disc I purchased would even get past the loading screen! So I returned it and got a new one. Low and behold…SAME thing keeps happening thruought the game! This time I can play but when I pause and at certain points in Pillar Of Autumn it freezes! And no, it’s not just my Xbox. I have tried it on the newer Slim model I have and an older Elite and same thing on BOTH! Wth 343!?

Maybe they really do want to give you the *full *** experience
There are two ways that I learned to fix this:
1)Hit the back button to go to classic mode then back to remastered.
2)If solution 1 does not work, install the game to your hard drive.
I recommend doing this for every new game you purchase because games can sometimes lack performance due to scrathces and other disc related issues.

Thanks for the ideas Elite but neither seem to work? I tried the Classic/Remastered and just on classic and still freezing? And the disc won’t even copy to the HDD it freezes at 38% always? On both my Xboxes…
Only had 1 freeze. “Halo”.

No one’s copy should be freezing! 343i should take care of this issue and try to compensate or at least replace the bad copies that are literally unplayable!
After exchanging it 3 times at frys I gave up. All 4 copies I got where BAD! I decided to purchase another copy at Walmart and so far so good! I was able to copy it to the HDD just fine and so far it hasn’t frozen (knock on wood). Obviously there is bad copies of Halo CEA out there and I hope 343i takes care of the problem! I am stuck with a bad copy now and Frys will not give money back on an open item. Thank you all for the advice and enyone that has the issues…RETURN it until you get a good copy. 343i probably won’t take care of the problem for a while. And it’s almost impossible to contact them btw. I’ll be calling Microsoft Studios and see if I can do something about that extra copy that’s useless to me.
I haven’t had this issue but my game has decided to not save my progress half the time. Extremely frustrating.
Game has not froze for me…yet, but 2 terminals did (“Halo” and “The Library”). I think I’m the only one who is having this problem. No scratches on the disc or anything. Really strange. I hope this gets fixed in the next update.
