Having the same issue. Have submitted a ticket to hopefully help get more attention on this. Same issue via Steam or the Xbox App. Event Viewer spits out this mess:

I’m also getting this same CTD randomly with the same exception code (0xe3430009) in the Event Viewer. I can be playing for 10 minutes and it may crash or could be playing for a few hours and randomly crash. I have disabled Razer Synapse and MSI Afterburner as others have suggested to no avail.

Have you submitted a ticket to support about this? Just to help get awareness of the issue at least.

I did a completely fresh install of Windows 11 Pro, installed Halo and was able to game without issue for hours.

After that I lowly started installing app’s until I could get the game to crash again. I have a ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) motherboard and as I was installing the default apps for it like Armory Crate etc… it installed one called rogliveservice.exe. Sure enough when I tested Halo I got the same crash as before. Uninstalled it and suddenly everything was working fine again.

Not sure if this is helpful, going to do some more testing to see what else I can figure out.

Same issue here.
Playing on PC. Game just disappears with no warning.
I’ll be submitting a ticket.

I submitted a ticket. here it is.

Campaign and Multiplayer crash 100% of the time within 1-5 minutes of playing.

I have tried the following;

-turned off all overclocks

-turned off game mode

-turned off game bar

-increased page file size

-uninstalled and reinstalled fresh

-updated motherboard bios

-removed and reinstalled graphics driver

-tried multiple graphics settings in nvidia settings

-tried different resoluitions

-tried capping frame rates in game settings to 60

-tried turning off framerate minumum

-reinstalled windows, started fresh

Not one other game I own crashes on my PC

just to add to this, I have tried every single driver back to July for Nvidia. I use DDU every time I try a different driver. Im done trying. They need to fix the damn game.

Same issue here - Happens like twice a day. I get the same error Exception code: 0xc0000005 and I still can’t find a proper solution.

If anyone is overclocking their GPU, I recommend disabling the overclocked settings. This happened to me early on, and I haven’t noticed much of an issue after.

Cant say this’ll be a fix for everyone, but it was the case for me.

Same issue here. Running Windows 11 (Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000), RTX 2060, i7 9700

THIS FIXED IT FOR ME

Been trying to find a fix for this for a while. Not sure why but a few days ago, Halo randomly started crashing for me. Hadn’t installed any new programs, had a windows update or updated Halo itself so I was clueless.

ROGLiveService must have updated in the background and broken something, as disabling this has stopped my crashes so far. I used to crash within 2-3 minutes of getting into a multiplayer game and I FINALLY finished my first match in like a week.

You’re a life saver pal!

Same issue, tried everything but nothing works

I’ve been crashing on PC since the game came out. Tweaked every setting that has been suggested. It is mid January 2022 and I am still crashing. Just crashed twice in an hour and got banned. This is the first time I’ve ever gotten banned from crashing.

I’ve got the same crash. I tried everything and still crashing every 1-2 minutes into the game. I reported this to the Halo Support and they said: Our developers look at issues which multiple people have reported so if you know others experiencing this issue, ask them to file a ticket at https://aka.ms/halosupport

So please go there and report the bug. You should include your dxdiag information. And it may be useful if you include dump files from your crashes. You can find them at:
%LocalAppData%\CrashDumps

okay so i dont know if this will help, but when i was trouble shooting hunt showdown crashing like crazy unexpectedly i found that for some reason it seemed having anything oculus running in task manager would cause these types of crashes for me

today i was playing halo and it started crashing like crazy. i went and checked and sure enough oculus had stuff running in the back ground . i end tasked them and had no issues with crashing. Went from three crashes five mins in to playing to playing for two hours no issues

I’m in the same as most people in this thread. Game works for a few minutes the CTD.

No overclocking and no background services like ROG or oculus.

I have submitted a ticket. I have had problems since the beta. After the most recent update, I started getting the game crashes again that were unknown and sometimes the crash doesn’t even report an error in Windows Event Viewer.

I wish I could debug the game, but 343 locked down the software even more esp. after the update with Arbiter.dll.

It is amazing how an open source game like Counter Strike is still pulling 100,000 players today and have managed the hackers.

I had the game uninstalled because of these crashes. But then I decided to give the new season a try. The game is no longer crashing!

The only change to my system was that this time I downloaded the game through Steam, rather than the Xbox Game Pass windows app. If that’s an option for you, I’d recommend trying it out. Steam has a lot better way of verifying instalations and fixing corrupted files. Or it’s just one of the Xbox services that was causing the crashes. Either way, I can play now!
