since my last message about this has being really pushed down and i got no replies im trying again.
i GOT the MCC on steam
and me a friend were playing CO-OP
it all wen all but when we got to the level called “Outskirts”
i got disconnected from the game and it happens every time we try to play the level together.i checked the files integrity and tried to reinstall the game. nothing worked.any idea how to solve this?

Is something up with you or your friends internet perhaps? Maybe try resetting/unplugging your router and then trying again. It cannot be a game problem if you tried all that and there was no change. Other levels have worked fine though other then outskirts?
This has been an issue since 2014. CO-OP for Halo 2 on MCC has been… difficult. I haven’t tried it since it released on PC, but Outskirts was always one mission that caused problems in the loading screen. I thought it was due to the game being broken on Xbox, but maybe this has transferred to the PC release too.
Playing solo has always worked fine, so must stem from the peer to peer connection that campaign and custom games uses, specifically if you live a fair amount of distance from each other. Instead of posting this on here, maybe it is better to be listed as a bug on the support website.
I have the same issue but little bit different, when i try to play co-op it starts at Cairo Station instead of the Mission “The Heretic” and when the mission Cairo Station fully loads it kick one of us out of the match and the other person is still loading infinitely meaning it never stops loading basically the other person gets kick out and the person still loading never loads, we had to solo the campaign instead.

I have had that issue a few times as well. Sometimes however when me and a friend do get in a game the connection for the second player is really bad. Not just for the one person but every time regardless, the second player has some delay when moving or shooting.
