Game is unfinished (NOT Forge related)

343 have released their second unfinished project in a year. And no, I’m not talking about Forge or BTB.

Here are a few of the issues I’ve found in my span of 30 games:

I’ve observed two red dots on the radar for one enemy. Explain how this makes sense.
I’ve observed one red dot on the radar when two enemies were on the screen and the same, if not closer, distance to me.
I’ve observed radar dots inexplicably flashing intensely, to the point where watching full-speed Theater shows you can’t even tell the dot is there.
I’ve backed out of a search lobby (Pressed “Okay” on that pointless pop-up), and I returned to the main lobby to choose between Campaign, Multiplayer, etc., and then been shoved into a game suddenly.
The game has crashed twice in less than 4 hours of gameplay.
Whenever I press the rewind button in Theater, it changes me to another player’s view and I cannot find my own player for several game seconds.
I view armor, and without pressing “A” on a piece other than what I’m wearing, I press “RB” to go to another section of the customization tabs, and the armor that my cursor was highlighting remains on my character.
Can’t view medals in post-game lobby, yet they track them online.
Can’t save films at all.
Can’t bookmark films from the Start screen.
I’ve hit headshots that shouldn’t have counted, and rewatching in Theater proves that I missed his head and entire body by a decent amount.
The character’s response to button presses is laggy. If I press “A” to sprint, then immediately press “Y” to switch weapons, it doesn’t work because every button command seemingly has a cooldown time. This was brought up in the quick scoping thread, where if you switch to the Sniper, you can’t immediately scope in.

Here’s my favorite issue I’ve found: In-game, the scoreboard and kill-feed displays my friend’s OLD GAMERTAG, not his NEW one. In the menus of the game, it displays the proper gamertag, but once a multiplayer game starts, it reverts to the old one. How in the world is that even possible??

I’m amazed at how many people like this game. In its current state, it won’t last past Christmas, if that. Too many issues that negatively affect gameplay, like the horrible hit boxes, the inconsistent and downright broken radar, and the horrible aim system.

Maybe you’re just unlucky? I haven’t really had any problems.

Maybe you have eye sight problems see a doctor, or to many mushrooms or maybe you have -Yoink- internet. I’m Australian and i haven’t had one of those problems what so ever.

no problems

LOL This has nothing to do with eyesight. And you gotta love the old “I haven’t had this problem so it must not exist” argument.

Watch this video. Look at the radar. The red dot literally moves side to side, and near the end there are two dots for one guy. I zoom out at the end of the clip to show that nobody else was spawning near me. https://account.xbox.com/en-us/gameclip/52a79872-b4cc-40df-a1d3-35f1ff589d87?gamerTag=A%20Timbers%20Fan&scid=1370999b-fca2-4c53-8ec5-73493bcb67e5

The things on your list which actually concern me from a game-play standpoint are a) radar and b) aiming.

I’ll grant you that the radar does not behave as it did in Halo 4. But, by the same token, it did not perform in Halo 4 exactly as it did in Reach, etc. etc. etc. These games are always rebuilt from the ground up and nothing ever works exactly as it did in the past. You can let it frustrate you to leaving, or you can stick out until you’ve adapted, and I’m living proof that adaptation is possible. If I can adapt then anyone can. Just give it time.

I have more or less the same to say about aiming. It is not the same in this game as it has been in some past Halos. But I would hardly say that it’s broken. It’s just different. It’s a little less assisted. It may be frustrating, but you have to remember that every single player in the game is dealing with the same issue. The playing field is still level. And the actual issue you describe sounds a lot more like a lag problem than an aim problem.

I’m really sorry that you’re finding this whole thing so frustrating - I can’t tell you that you’re wrong to feel that way. I’ve had some frustrating moments in this game, but I’ve found so much good completely counter-balancing the bad that I can’t imagine Halo being or playing any other way.

I watched this video and only ever see a single red dot behind you, I would like to see the clip at full speed to see what the jerkiness looks like at normal speed.

A few nit picky gripes and connectivity issues but no other problems like you have explained. I wish you here having as good of a time as I am. :frowning:

Uh dude, most of those issues have not happened to me or to any other person and only the lack of medal tracking in-game (even though it’s not that huge to super criticize the game) is something that must be patched, but that is not what Halo 5 actually needs to actually be a solid 8/10 game.
