I need help as I’m not sure who to contact, where to post this, or what to do in order to fix this. At least once during every game I play, my connection will get interrupted and will bring me to the “blue screen” that one normally sees when the host disconnects and the game tries to reacquire a new host. The only difference is I am the only one in that screen while everyone else continues playing, which ultimately will lead to me just standing there in game allowing someone to kill me easily. I don’t receive lag in game (at least nothing out of the ordinary) except very briefly right before I get “blue screened.” Though even then, I don’t always notice the lag before I get hit with that screen. This is getting quite aggravating as my connection is fine, my router and modem are running smoothly, my NAT is open, I have no other issue with any other Xbox/PC game (this only occurs with Halo 4), and my internet rarely has any hiccups (once again, nothing out of the ordinary). I am running everything on Wireless-N. My router and modem sit right next to each other which is all within 10 feet of anything that uses it. This has been occurring to a few of my friends on Xbox Live during Halo 4 matches as well which leads me to believe it may be the game. Everything else I do/play has given me no issues.
In case anyone is wondering, I am in the USA using Century Link as my ISP. So does anyone have any similar experiences? Anyone have some ideas on what to do to fix it? Do I need to contact my internet service provider? Wait for a patch? Change some settings? So if anyone has anything, please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
