Every couple off games during matches the game game keeps freezing and throwing me back to the Xbox dashboard, I’m playing this on Xbox SX, Anyone else experiencing this? It’s also a pain because I keep getting banned for no fault of my own, Any ideas and is there a fix on the way or are 343 not well informed of this issue? Many thanx

Nice to see another Yorkshire lad on the forums. The freezing is something to do with the weapon skins… with that said, I’ve had it happen to me in Halo Reach firefight. It is insanely frustrating when it turns the console off.

Greetings. Yeah, I do have similar issues. However it seems to be a bit more stable nowadays. Yesterday, my buddies and I played some Halo 4 together and we only experienced three freezes , which is not bad considering at first you’d get freeze and then banned 6 times in a row.
However, it’s something that should not happen; there is no answer about fixing this yet, but I think a good possible solution would be for 343i to announce one specific day that the MCC matchmaking will be unavailable so they focus on fixing this. which would not be so far from reality, I think they did something similar with the Elite Season update months ago.
It does not, I’ve talked with several people about this and even those that have the weapon skins disable experience freezing and crashing, this is just a speculation made by the community.
Yeah common issue, me and my brother have had this on our Series X’s, been playing on PC as of late and no issue with it on PC.

I am playing Halo 3 on Xbox Series S (mostly 4v4). I keep getting booted out of the game every 6 or 7 games. The game freezes and I go back to the Xbox dashboard. It happens on Construct, Guardian and other maps (mostly at the beginning of the game).
Everything was fine for 1 year but since the last update (with the new Poses) the game keeps freezing.
Any help much appreciated.
It has been more unstable on console since the last update. Surprisingly, PC seems to be more stable than console as I now crash more frequently than my friend on PC. (I’m on Series X.)
I get banned easily because my game regularly crashes. In fact it crashes worse than halo 5s customs browser. I’ve tried troubleshooting but it everything is up to date too. Idk.
Lmao lucky. You have an sx. My lil sis has an Xbox and her halo infinite runs CLEAN. I play with an OG Xbox one. Halo infinite goes banana crazy ever 15-20 minutes with me. (I have fiber optic internet so that ls top tier) so I have good connections, literally wired to the console using an Ethernet cable connected to the router, and i normally clean and detail the console and always get new parts for it when something breaks. (Stuff breaks very rarely and normally has to do with age. I had it since I was ten and I’m About to be an adult if that says anything. So the console is taken care of, it’s got new stuff in it. But it can handle a lot of the new stuff out there but halo infinite seems to be a real struggle for the console.
I just recently got a car n’ stuff so I can’t really buy a new series x. Plus there’s all the ricers out there who buy them and bulk and sale and then them back for $1k instead of $500 just to make a quick buck. Plus I heard that there’s a lot of faulty consoles too.
Last time I checked they don’t have a ban appeal for the game. I’m two crashes away from getting a perma ban from the game. It drives me insane. So I play it here and there but when I do I make it short.
I was referring to MCC running better on PC than console. (I think this is an MCC thread.)
For Halo Infinite it’s the opposite. Halo Infinite runs better on console than PC.
I do get the same issue. But it’s less frequent now. I get freezing issues like twice but that’s it. A friend has his game freezing on him 6 times a day
