Game freezes every time after I finish a match.

Every time I finish a match, if I want to exit to the game menu it freezes and the sound stops. The only way I can continue playing is to refresh the whole game. Its been doing this for years but I thought it was just my old console, but when I got a new series x it still freezes, so its clearly a game problem. Anyone else have this issue?

I would always hit the start button before and after games to customize my Spartan so my advice would be don’t do anything extra in between games besides equipping boosts.

My Xbox has froze many time also, I have Xbox one original.

Since halo 5 boots up fast I always “quit” the app when I’m done playing so I can hopefully avoid the menu freeze errors.

Mine used to do that if I had my Xbox power setting to instant on. Now it will only really freeze up normally in custom games after awhile. Once in awhile the game just messes up…I’ll be auto booted from matches (lag out…which it feels dumb to even call that if its the games servers dropping me…I’m still online and in the party…)

I don’t think there’s any fix. You’re either fortunate and it hardly happens to you…or…unfortunate and end up uninstalling the game.

Sometimes this happens to me, but every time, it always gets me quite annoyed.

I also do what ODST Blues does here: “quit” the Halo 5 game to avoid the menu freeze errors. It doesn’t work all the time, but for the most part, it works.
