What if (in ranked games) or just 1v1 ranked. they made It so once you stack X amount of resources. Say 30k or something. The game Is automatically over and that player wins? I feel like this would fix a lot. Thoughts ?
Ehh, it sounds okay. I don’t play ranked but I know if I did I’d be pretty salty I lost not because I made a tactical error but just the enemy had 20 billion supply pads.
I’d much rather just nerf siege turrets. I always hated game ending mechanics that didn’t involve defeating the enemy.
I’d rather a timer than this.

I’m with you.
I made a similar post about adding a timer, but it’s just not fitting for RTS.
Hopefully siege nerfs will help us players who don’t have 6 hours to kill on turtle power.

I don’t think it’s a failure of game design for HW2, but more OP siege turrets and AA that’s too effective. If those are brought in line we should be in a better place

But then pavium would have a serious advantage, his burnout and the fact that he can just turtle will help him get to 30k for example a lot quicker.

Mega turrets are so much worse,imagine a full base with 3 shield generators a cloaking generator and a lot if AA

The difference between Mega Turrets in my mind is they take up a base slot, so to me they aren’t nearly as bad as ST.
Still not a fun nut to crack
