This Error 0x8000001 is Linked to a lack of SSE 4.1 support in your CPU. There is a work around but since Microsoft locks WindowsApp files you cannot use the Intel SDE.exe development tool. Support for lower versions of SSE is very much needed. This same issue was in No Mans Sky and it was fixed within a week on their experimental branch. I am hoping that this issue that comes with all game ports from console to PC will fix this problem in the future. SPREAD THIS AROUND SO THAT 343 SEES THIS!

I’ve been preaching this for a few days now… my original message went to the bottom.
Hopefully this one stays around.
But this doesn’t solve the problem for people with other error codes? I don’t even get an error code, I just get the “Your computer doesn’t not meet the minimum system requirements” message, with no error code and then the crash that everybody else gets

We did get a reply from some person at 343i on the Halo discord, they only said that “Phenom 2’s are unsupported”, we already knew that since a day after release when Microsoft put n troubleshoot guide up.
I would like to think that they’re working hard on the custom game browser, and just don’t have the bandwidth to support all these issues right now…
