There is a serious problem with the Halo Wars 2 servers. I can’t finish a single game of Team or Solo War without being disconnected a few minutes into the game. It’s extremely frustrating and it seriously needs to be fixed. And no it’s not just my internet connection, my cousin who lives in Hawaii (I live in CA) has the exact same problem. Blitz and Campaign seem to work fine; although it’s hard to tell since Blitz matches are like 5-10 minutes long and that’s about as long as it takes for me to get disconnected when in a multiplayer match.
To the team at 343 Industries and/or Creative Assembly in charge of Halo Wars 2, please fix this as soon as possible I’m a long time Halo fan and a die-hard Halo Wars fan and am really impressed so far with the actual game. Don’t ruin it with bad servers.
And honestly, I think it is more than fair to reset everyone’s Service Record after the situation is resolved. More than 90% of my losses are due to disconnection and it’s really annoying.

When your game disconnects you, does it slow almost to a halt, maybe updating the screen once every 30 seconds or so, before finally saying disconnected after a couple of minutes and returning to normal speed? That has happened to me about 3 times. Random disconnects after 5-10 minutes however interestingly has not.
Yup, I have the same problem. It’s happened in solo and team wars. My game slows way down for about 30 seconds - 1 minute and then I’m disconnected. Just been playing blitz because of that.
Agreed. game is so broken. I only play skirmish vs AI because of it.

Seems to be an ongoing issue with 343. i remember the horrible job they made of releasing halo master chief edition. This isn’t acceptable for a company of its size to be making more embarrassing mistakes with releases. I know the BETA of wars 2 was dreadful when they released that but surely in the time they have had to do the game (including the the delay from the initial release date) none of the halos have had issues like this before 343 took over. Not sure what they will do this time to please the fans who cannot play the game… Getting a free game like ODST like time they messed up was pretty cool but what can they do this time?
Oh and the issues im having are i cant even play a 2v2 with my friend against AI never mind matchmaking against real players!

That happens some times but usually it just straight up disconnects me and gives me the Ark Loading Screen of Death
343 been quiet since Friday hope this stuff gets fixed…
I had a disconnected from the halo servers issue last night when a buddy and I were trying to play a 2v2 skirmish. It doesn’t appear to just be matchmade games. 
Good chance to finish up the campaign achievements while it gets fixed I guess.
every time i try to play anything on matchmaking i get disconnected and most the times its instant but have had a few where my game slowed down rapidly and then kicked me. The majority of my losses have come due to disconnect and since its unplayable due to the servers disconnecting and i dont want to ruin my record anymore due to it im forced to play skirmish vs ai until 343 gets this fixed. the sooner the better

Happened to me q few times when I played the game online before the 21st. Blitz also kicks you out occasionally, usually says lost connection immediately after your kicked, but then why am I still online, and than immediately re-connected fo Halo Wars 2 online?
Server issues. Did you not play master chief edition? they did such a bad job on that they gave us a free game

It’s strange. The first weekend I only had one or two disconnects but it seems to be only getting worse with time. Last night I tried to play 3 games and all 3 games ended in disconnects I really like the game and I just convinced two of my buddies to buy it… So I hope they get this sorted out really soon.
yeh i convinced my mate to buy it and thankfully it didn’t embarrass me in the 2 games we had by disconnecting… i put this down to good luck at the time!

Same here guys. Look, I’m not a total freak about my Win/Loss ratio, but it’s embarrassing for me to even look at my non-blitz record. Basically any mode but blitz the game will freeze. Oh yeah, and if you use a Cleansing Beam or a similar Leader Power? Instant crash.
I really, really hope they at least reset the Win/Loss records.
I’m sorry, but my patience with this company is wearing thin. $80.00 + tax for a game that I couldn’t even play early because the game would freeze (Yes, on Xbox).
Almost two weeks later it seems nothing has been done. The servers are still garbage and most of my close friends gave up on the game already and somehow managed to get a refund.
What the hell happened to my beloved series?
