Ok so I’m constantly being booted back to the dashboard now every time I try to play Halo 5. The game was working fine until my recent req pack unlock. In the last req pack I unlocked I got a helmet but when I select the helmet it doesn’t load and then causes all other pictures of armor & helmets to be replaced by a spinning “loading wheel”, nothing displays and nothing is selectable. I notice that Halo will last between 30 seconds to a minutes from this point onward before crashing and kicking me back to the dashboard. If I boot up Halo and don’t press start to enter Spartan customization then the game will play perfectly without dashbording me. If, however, I load the game up and press start then go ahead and start playing the games lasts a short while (30secs - 1min, as mentioned above) before dashbording me, regardless of whether I’m in a game or not. I also noticed that if I boot the game and press start, then go join a multiplayer game, after the game loads I see messed up geometry (as if I’ve fallen through the world) but the game then starts normally, I play more or less normally (I’ve noticed that the commentary on kills is a few seconds behind my actual kills) but then I get booted back to the dash.
So to summarize; if I don’t press start for customization options before playing the game it works no problem. If however I do I get dashboarded after 30secs - 1min. Also viewing the new req unlocked helmet causes all armor & helmet images to disappear and be replaced by spinning loading wheels.
Things I’ve tried to no avail; hard reset, unplug Xbox for 2mins, MAC address clear and profile delete.
Please help me with this I was loving this game up to this point, now I can’t even play it.
