This topic is not new. It has been reported a lot of times already.
When I launch the game, the black loading screen with the dots appears, the game loads for a couple of minutes and then crashes usually within seconds as soon as I hear the theme song. Sometimes I get a glimps of the menu screen, but thats about it. I run a GTX 980, latest driver, 32 GB ram, Intel i7-4770.
The crash_info.txt gives me the “The GPU has hung, crashed, or been removed. Please look at TDRBreadcrumbSummary.txt for more info.” message. So far nothing new.
I have tried the following:
Restarting Steam/whole PC
Reinstalling the game onto the C: SSD
Disabling antivirus
running as admin
reinstalling GPU drivers
renamed GPU_Nvidia.txt
I had given up to try to join the flight but then saw that there was an update pending on steam! This raised my hopes and I tried again after installing the update. Didnt change a thing. Tried all of the things above again, just to be sure. Nothing. I then checked the patch notes to see if there was something worth reading.
And yes, there was something very interesting.
Under KNOWN ISSUES, the patch notes say the following:
- **This flight does not support Nvidia GTX 900 series GPUs. Please do not expect 900 series GPUs to be functional in this flight.**Well, thats it for me this flight, I wont try to load the game anymore. This was a huge disappointment. But thanks for the invite, I guess.
