Game crashes before start

I just finished downloading Halo MCC (which is quite an achievement on my internet 29 hour download) an have been really excited to play it. The first time I started it up I got the first note of the intro then nothing. Never saw more then the splash screen. I was able to get the game to “run” by running on integrated graphics. However, 20 fps on the lowest graphics settings is quite dismal. I have updated the graphics drivers to the newest drivers (NVIDIA 441.66). Still getting the same problem. I disabled all of the features in the control panel. I am currently rolling back to a previous driver (NVIDIA 436.48) but I am suspect that it will have the same problems.

Rig
Intel i7 4710MQ 2.50 Ghz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 950m
12 GB DDR3 memory
512 GB WD SSD (has game and driver and windows installed here)
1TB WD HDD

Please help. Any suggestions?

Well for starters you’re playing on a laptop, and a terribly outdated one at that. MCC utilizes a tonne of CPU and GPU (usually either pegging it or getting around the 70 - 90% mark) even on modern systems. The supposed minimum requirements on the steam page for any modern title aren’t really reflective of what the actual minimum req’s are either. Short of telling you to get a better system, I’ve been told there is a guide or mod out in the wild that basically dumbs down the graphics to like… 90’s era SNES details, so you could try that.
I’m sorry, but honestly to me it just looks like your laptop is horribly outdated for this game.

I did fix the problem, wiping my C drive did the trick.
If this game is pegging your CPU GPU on a modern system you need a new system because my 5 year old lap top runs 50% CPU and 80% GPU
Also as noted in my original post the game did work on integrated graphics.
This is not a modern game. It was made in 2010.
