Hey guys, I just got banned from Ranked. Does anyone know how long these bans usually last.
My game crashed twice in a 6 game span, which unbeknownst to me counted as me quitting. I checked my Halotracker, and both matches I “quit” were CTF on Bazaar.
A handful of minutes for the first ban, it gets worse if you keep getting banned though.
Thanks, I guess I’ll stick to social for a day or two just to be safe.
Okay this is disheartening. It just happened again but mid-game this time. Hopefully this has nothing to do with the latest update that was supposed to fix BTB.
Has anyone else had any connection problems?
abandonment penalties effect social as well, just a heads up.
Do you count being matched into a server with >200ms ping a connection problem?
What kind of crashes are you having?
My new XSX crashed and completely shut down by itself 5 times within 2-3 hours play after todays update (3 times in MP and twice in campaign). It has shut itself down before whilst playing campaign but not to this extent.
I was going to raise a repair via Microsoft but it sounds like they only offer a refurbished unit which I don’t think is acceptable for a 5 week old console that cost £450! I contacted Amazon and they’ve offered a full refund as they don’t have any stock.
The first two crashes happened while I was in the lobby waiting for my next match. The game closed instantly and I was sent to my desktop.
The third one happened just after the first round in an Oddball game. My screen went black for about 10 seconds and again I was sent to my desktop.
Edit: It’s definitely an issue with Infinite, not my PC.
Where’s that special someone? I’m assuming there’ll be 2 guys commenting about how they’ve never experienced a crash on this game however, they specifically remember crashing all the time on Halo 2 and 3 which proves that they were out of date and inferior to Infinite.
Ok thanks. May be a slightly different issue if you’re on PC but there’s loads of reports of Halo Infinite crashing consoles (and possibly on PC) over on Reddit, so may be worth taking a look on there.
I’ve only ever had Infinite crash one other time, and that was after I tried increasing my FPS. I usually have my FPS capped between 48-72. Earlier today I discovered you can set custom values, so I upped both by 10%. Maybe tomorrow I’ll reset them to my usual values, and see if that makes a difference.
My friend has an X-Box one, X-Box one X and a X-Box series S, in the house ( him, his daughter and her boyfriend ). He reckons they have all crashed and turned off, whilst playing Halo Infinite.
And people told me the quitban wouldn’t affect people like you!
