What happened to people speaking during matches? I have been playing for a couple hours now with my headset on and no one is saying a word? Did we cancel trash talk or situation awareness on gaming now?
Nobody likes to talk in game chat now, I haven’t seen/heard anyone talk trash nor communicate to their teammates, usually people just report trash talkers now.

No it’s in ranked now only. People tend to never use it in social. In ranked it’s literally every game. Specifically MLG/HCS playlists.

that’s quite unfortunate, i made a lot of friends through game chat back on Halo: 3 and Reach.

I wish i had a answer but i’ve also been wondering that for a long time

So did I, but through the competitive playlists. For me it’s still the same lol. Some kids get bad and wanna 1v1 me. It’s fun to beat them while hearin em on the mic LOL.
Maybe 343 got tired of loud toxic squeakers drowning literally everything else happening.
You don’t really hear it in Social anymore. The last time I remember people being really passionate about game chat were on 360 playing Reach and 3; most of the time it was just 11 year olds saying how they screwed my mother or something, honestly kinda glad its less prevalent now. Even though I made some friends with game chat back then =(

I never really noticed just how dramatically the amount of folks talking dropped. I normally play social so sometimes a few people will talk every once in a while but nowhere near to the amount they used to.
