I feel like I’ve never seen anything addressing gamechat and how it doesn’t work outside of a match. What game can you not talk in the lobbies? lol and then ppl wonder why everyone’s in a party chat. What a joke 343 get it together
you can talk in pregame.
I’d say halo 5 is in a pretty good place if this is what people are complaining about now adays.
People probably are in parties cause they may be playing with friends. Seriously though, it doesn’t matter. I’d rather be in a party with friends than have some scumbag calling me and my teammates racial slurs

And this, most people in gamechat aren’t worth talking to. They either don’t speak English, they are 12 or they play music through their Mic.
Okay first off, in pregame lobby we can talk to people, but good luck figuring out who or if they’re going to be on your team. And that only lasts after the server starts. So you got wat 5 seconds to talk.
Also i don’t know how many friends i made by talking in the pregame and post game lobbies in previous halo games… if you don’t want to hear them blaring music or talking then mute them…oh wait, that’s right. You can’t until you’re in the match and playing… right…
Guys I think he/she’s referring to the PC version’s text chat system. IMO it’s way better than speaking through a mic, but you can’t use it in the pre-game lobbies.

You can actually hear the other team before/after a match. You just can’t identify who is speaking. I’d personally like that to change, so that it removes the anonymity of the people who suddenly decide to spout slurs and it’s a bit easier to report the guilty party.
