Game chat in theater mode

I’m trying to record my game play footage with the xbone app and I was wondering if its possible that the theater mode can pick up game chat?

Doubtful. I’ve never heard it.

I used to pretend in halo 3 it did, I tricked one of my friends into thinking I was recording our voices through the mic. Lol

But tech for theater hasn’t really come that far, in fact it’s a totally unloved mess atm. So saddly, no.

I’m still waiting in campaign recording to come back again.
